Chip City — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

I usually love this location but today I did not have a good experience. Placed an order on uber and picked up. My sister opened the sealed box halfway while driving home realizing we received the incorrect ones :( Drove 20 minutes back and kindly let them know we received the incorrect order. The employee was about to give me two more dubai crookies and two galaxy brownie when I told them I didn’t order the dubai ones at all and they said sorry. This problem could’ve easily been fixed if I just received the two biscoff cheesecake ones and I keep the order I had already received. Instead, the entire box was taken, two new brownie cookies and the correct biscoff ones was placed in a new box. They left my old order box next to the freshly baked dubai cookies, as if they planned to resell them. Didn’t even toss them or anything which screamed unsanitary to me.

I feel like after the inconvenience of having to come all the way back, it would’ve just been resolved if I got the two correct cookies in addition to the incorrect...

Although the cookies were delicious, my recent experience at this establishment left much to be desired. Despite arriving at 9:08 PM on a Saturday night with plenty of time before closing at 10, the staff seemed eager to rush us out the door. When we inquired about coffee, we were informed that the machine had already been cleaned and could not be used. This was particularly frustrating considering that many other patrons continued to arrive after us. It's disappointing when a business claims to be open until a certain time, yet fails to offer the full menu during those hours. I found the staff's lack of concern for their customers disheartening and hope that they can make improvements...

As a self proclaimed Cookie Monster, I had to remove the chip city app from my phone…thats how addictive these are to me! 🤣 Not only are these cookies delicious and very generously sized, they also offer non dairy cookies too which is so rare. I have dairy allergies so I appreciate being able to safely enjoy these cookies without the consequence of sacrificing the taste/texture. I love their app too. It’s so convenient to just see which cookies are still in stock, order, and pick up. On Wednesdays they have buy one get one free cookies, and their rewards program also gives a free cookie after reaching a certain amount of points. They are beyond good....
