7 months later. Wow! We have become Ramen snobs! We have officially decided that no matter how many places we try, across a wide variety of states and cuisines, this location Kyuramen is by far our favorite and the best. I want to reiterate that Kyuramen in Garden City is so authentic and consistent. It's always so clean and the staff are so clear and helpful to answer your questions. Cheers, Jacob ----- Are you kidding! The best Ramen 🍜 and Bubble Tea 🧋 in Nassau. The atmosphere in this restaurant is fire and so Japanese. Also, the waiters and waitresses are so sweet, fast, accommodating, and helpful. Claire at the front is especially the sweetest. I recommend the Spicy Tonkotsu and a Black Milk Bubble Tea. It takes like an Oreo milk shake. My boyfriend and I come here on the weekly. Tip: call and ask for a private booth before you go - they are so fun, and again, so Japanese 🍡

Our visit to Kyuramen for their much-hyped ramen was met with mixed feelings. While the restaurant had a cozy interior and convenient parking, the overall dining experience left much to be desired. Location & Parking: Kyuramen x TBAAR is located at 988 Franklin Ave, Garden City, NY 11530, with a parking lot accessible via 9th or 10th street. It's wheelchair accessible. Interior: Upon entering the restaurant (from the parking lot), you'll find a bubble tea take-out area before walking down the hallway to reach the dining area. The interior has a warm oak color, and seating options include booths, tables, bird cages, and a bar. Servers are dressed in black, and the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. Table Setting & Menu: We ordered the #1 Tonkotsu Ramen, which was listed as "Tokyo Tonkotsu Shouyu" on the menu. The server didn't seem very familiar with the dishes and had trouble understanding our orders. My partner ordered the "Sapporo Miso Ramen", but there was no option for customizing the noodles. I was disappointed that they didn't have the chicken Kara-age I was hoping for, and settled for the Ika Geso Kara-age (Fried Squid). The chopsticks were square-shaped and long, typical of the Chinese restaurant. Serving: The ramen arrived before the appetizer, which was unexpected. The server also held the bowl with one hand, with his thumb touching the inside of my bowl. Not very sanitary or professional. Taste: The Tonkotsu Ramen with black garlic (which cost an extra dollar) lacked the deep flavor I was hoping for, and the pork slice was below average. The Sapporo Miso Ramen was decent but nothing special, and the soup was cooler than expected. The Ika Geso Kara-age was fishy and oil not well-drained. The absence of any dipping sauce was also disappointing. Overall Thoughts: While the ramen came out quickly, the overall dining experience was underwhelming. Kyuramen is definitely not for ramen enthusiasts, and the prices (around $50 for two bowls of ramen and an appetizer) are steep for the quality of food served. While this is the only Kyuramen franchise I've been to, if you're looking for a casual dining experience, then Kyuramen may be worth checking out. However, if you've visited some of the nicer spots in Manhattan, you may find this restaurant to be disappointing. While Kyuramen has its charms, the ramen experience left much to be desired. If you're looking for high-quality ramen, there are other options in the area worth exploring.

The employees are wonderful and very attentive to the customers. The seating and location is very attractive and gives a fun experience to enjoy your meal. I wish I had taken more pictures of my meal instead of digging in right away. This Kyuramen location, its food isn’t as satisfying as its queens location. Its broth isn’t as flavorful nor was it as enjoyable. The noodles were cooked alright and the miso was spiced mildly as expected. My friend received a vegetable broth ramen and immediately disliked the soup and noodles. She noted that the soup tasted odd and I have to agree with her. She tried putting different peppers and her kimchi in an attempt to make the ramen more appealing but that didn’t work, so she left it mostly untouched. The pop chicken was also rather disappointing, it’s rather bland with no extra seasoning and the chicken itself is rather dry. The lemonade, at first is smooth but the cucumber gives it a strong bitter and unpleasant after taste. Nevertheless, you should still come and try the food out for yourself. It might be a hit a or miss for some people but should still something you should try. Again I’d like to say the employees were wonderful and patient with us while we ordered, which took awhile as we subtracted some items and ordered many appetizers and sides.

Had high hopes but they just don't care and resting on reputation. Ordered the shrimp tempura appetizer which was tasteless, dense and greasy. Nothing like tempura should be. The pork baos were solid. The Curry Ramen with Tonkatsu was horrid. Toppings were thrown on top and still noticeably cold. The Tonkatsu was so tough it couldn't be bitten through. Both of use struggled to try to eat it so it wasn't just my order. Again greasy and not light. The additional egg was almost freezing and biting straight into it was like a booger it was disgusting since it was so cold. Wouldn't recommend this location, will try another. Who ever is frying the items is doing a poor job that day. The decor is great and really raised my expectations. Tables though the finish is worn in parts.

Love the location, love the staff but most of all, love their Shio & Miso Ramen. This location recently opened in April and blame myself for taking so long to visit. Like all other Kyuramen locations, the menu is the same but something about this location is just more relaxing. I think Garden City has that effect compared to other locations generally in a busier and more bustling area. Needless to say the Ramen, small bite, drink and dessert was on point. I simply love the fact this chain offers great tasting food without breaking the bank. I also do enjoy they play trendy music. Parking is abundant with street parking out front and huge private FREE lot in rear.
