I went here with 2 of my childhood friends for a long awaited dinner. We waited many months to align our schedules and decided to go to a "tried and true" restaurant and we were GRAVELY disappointed!
The hostess was very nice and accommodating. We went on a Saturday night and the vibe was a little annoying. The techno elevator music was off-putting, but that could also just be my taste.
We got the pulpo, mediterranean salad, truffle fries and parmesan reggiano with lavender honey. The pulpo was overcooked and had no flavor. The mediterranean salad was soggy with horrible proportions (mostly red pepper) and the fries were mediocre, at best. The best thing was the parmesan cheese, likely because it required no preparation on the restaurants part.
For dinner we all got pasta, and all of the dishes were underwhelming. My friend got the carbonara and it was served with an overhard egg. When we asked for egg to be prepared properly, that took an additional 20 minutes. We pushed through and ordered the bread pudding for dessert which was also wildly disappointing. The skillet was piping hot and the bread pudding was cold and undercoooked. When we complained about the carbonara, the manager comp'ed the dessert...which I found extremely rude, because, what if we didn't get dessert???
The best thing we had were the drinks, the aperol cocktail, and I had a delicious espresso martini. We are super disappointed and I really hope it was just an off night for somewhere we really enjoyed...

Read moreCame for dinner, busy restaurant, fast & attentive service. We ordered the grilled octopus & cosmos to start, it came within 10 minutes, so freakin good! Shared two salads, a Ceasar and the chicken Milanese, the Ceasar was well dressed with great croutons, the Milanese was seasoned to perfection, with huge crispy thin cutlets! Then we shared we the frutti de mare black linguini pasta! Deliciously rich pasta, cooked to a slight bite and chew, fresh shrimp, lobster claw meat, clams and mussels. We left a few mussels behind, they weren’t that great, but they can’t help that, overall it was really good! For dessert, ordered the bread pudding absolutely moist, warm chocolate chips were melted into each bite. Vanilla gelato on top yes please! I had to order the pistachio gelato, left nothing behind, just divine. The food here is really delicious. My only con is that the music was a little loud, you have to be real close to one another to talk and listen. I like the music, just wanted it to be a tiny bit lower in volume. If there was dancing, I think it would make sense, not the case here. Folks are just having dinner and trying to converse. Its industrial/contemporary chic decor is nice. Large furniture, sturdy comfortable chairs, good for group dinners. Definitely would come back, the food was so good, I have to try other things on the menu, they know what...
