New favorite bagel and breakfast place!
I cannot say enough good things about My Three Sons. The food is absolutely DELICIOUS and all other bagel spots in the area and on LI should take notes! Ordered delivery because I had 60% off and I was blown away. First order got a bagel with cream cheese, egg & cheese on a bagel, bacon, egg, cheese, ketchup on a French toast bagel, and Truffled BEC on a croissant. The bagels are soft and chewy, the right amount of salt, a great amount of flavor. The French toast bagel has a really nice brown color to it with a good maple syrup flavor. The truffled BEC (sunny side up eggs, bacon, Gruyère, and truffle butter) was kind of mind blowing! Insanely delicious with PERFECTLY cooked sunny side up eggs- runny yolk everywhere. The BEC had perfectly cooked, pillowy scrambled eggs that were moist and remained as such even after being reheated. The egg and cheese was the perfect introduction to a bagel spot skeptic.
Came to see the location and try more items since then three times in a week. Their omelets are also delicious. They include a side of hash browns or home fries- I recommend the home fries! Salted perfectly and not too much! The western omelet is a little pricy simply for the avocado on top for $14, however, you can customize your own omelet and it’ll be more in line with the cost of the others if you want something similar without avocado (~$11). The portions are on point! Another honorable mention would be their pancakes- extremely fluffy and tall, with a simple flavor executed perfectly.
I really have to hit home that everything I have received out of their kitchen has been cooked to perfection. The staff here is very, very friendly. They organize the sometimes longer lines very professionally, writing down your order, and address waiting customers quickly. Expect to wait a little longer after ordering until paying for and receiving your food, maybe 10 minutes on a busy Saturday morning, however WELL worth the small wait. They also have different coffee drinks, cold brew, espresso, teas. Environment is a little bit loud, however, I’ve noticed a fair amount of bagel places are. Additionally, space can be a little cramped when it’s busy and you’re waiting to get your food. There is also a decent amount of seating inside. Store is very clean, their deli cases are clear and not foggy. Their bagel selection is against their back wall, but they’re not labeled to show the selection, and I definitely think they should be labeled. Even on the busier days, though, they maintain stock of seemingly all flavors/variety of bagel. The shopping strip they’re on has a large parking lot in the back, and there is a back entrance too. I recommend parking in the back, as there are limited spots in the front.
Prices are extremely reasonable, the quality of food is through the roof. If you enjoy bagels and breakfast foods a lot like I do, or wraps/heroes (they make those for lunch, too!) My Three Sons is a MUST. I believe they make their breakfast items until 2pm....
Read moreUsually my boyfriend and I will get breakfast here and its good but this weekend I decided to get a lunch sandwich. The sandwich its self was pretty good but I believe it was extremely over priced for what I got. It seemed that they used a "build your own" option in their POS system which made this sandwich $9.40. I worked with a POS system for nine years at a previous job and am very familiar with the "build your own" option. I believe theirs should be tweaked to make more sense financially and have the employees trained better on what they are doing, since the woman ringing me up didn't seem to get it right and needed to get help from a coworker.
This is what I ordered: "honey mustard" chicken salad pepper jack cheese lettuce, tomato & onion on a pumpernickel bagel
I don't believe that this sandwich should have been close to TEN DOLLARS at all. I also put the "honey mustard" in quotation marks because either she put the wrong chicken salad on the sandwich or they just drizzle sauce on top of their existing chicken salad in the cold case and say its honey mustard chicken salad instead of making actual honey mustard chicken salad.. there was nothing honey mustard about the sandwich I received. I also got potato salad as my side salad and it had a strange taste as if it was on the cusp of going bad, which I've experienced before with their side salads.
All in all I will go back for breakfast like usual because the bagels are good and the staff (if you are a familiar face) is nice but I will no longer get...
Read moreI was in the area and googled a bagel shop near me and this place came up. Having read some of the previous reviews, I set my GPS and found myself here. I have to say I am so glad I did. The first thing that struck me was the fact that even though the place was full of people, ordering their own breakfast while I checked out their ample menu, the line moved very quickly, and then I saw how when each person’s order was completed, the worker taking care of them was attentive, efficient, and extremely friendly. I experienced the exact same treatment. The gentleman was friendly, welcoming, and he stayed engaged with me while he took care of my order. Not too many places emphasize this kind of charming engagement, but it struck me as quite lovely. I also want to make mention of the fact that not every bagel shop has blueberry bagels, which might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it certainly is one of my favorites. Chock full of blueberries and utterly fresh, it’s delicious!! Here are a few pictures, quite literally of it being devoured, as I sit outside of the shop and enjoy it. If you’re anywhere in the area, and you love a good bagel and some kindness, I wholeheartedly...
