This is my favorite pizza on Earth. It is a dream of a local pizzeria. The owner/man who makes the pizza is Eddie D. You can see the pizzas go in and out of the oven. There are articles about the NY Mets taped to the wall, and the business has sponsored little league teams. I’ve been eating Eddie D’s pizza for over 30 years, and it just about always tastes the same: perfect. Ideal New York thickness of crust (thin but not too thin), perfect ratio of cheese to sauce, good quality and flavor for each component. The crust has the right amount of chew and floppiness with a bit of crisp on the outside. Fresh out of the oven, it’s good enough to make you cry. Reheated or cold, also good. I hope Eddie is filthy rich and looking forward to whatever kind of retirement he wants, whether or not that includes making pizza. Nothing this beautiful lasts forever. Get it...

First time in of course, I've gotta say Eddie the owner , really nice guy. Positive upbeat attitude. We conversed as a single cheese slice I ordered was heating up, I told em I was a big fan of trying New pizza , he quickly pulled out a small slice and said "well this ones on the house then" . That confidence already tells me this is going to be some good stuff. He also mentioned he's been in business for 35 years. Pizza looks great nice and hot. Immediately I thought finally, it's been a while since I had a really good slice of pizza. No flop whatsoever, the slice held its ground no sliding cheese which was excellent, a very unique tasty sauce that just blended in very good with the well cooked dough, very slight char. Crunchy crust that wasn't excessive, just right. This guy is putting out some really good pizza! I'm sure the best...

Eddie D's is my favorite pizza, and I've been to many pizza places in New York. Eddie is an amazing owner who cares deeply about his customers. Every pie is made with love, and every time you enter is great conversation. I've been going here for about 25 years. Never can eat less than 3 slices here, and I never order that much anywhere else. It's a great mom and pop pizza place with an old school feel. Very simple, and it's all about the essentials. The regular slice, the garlic knots. You can't go wrong. Eddie is a Valley Stream staple, and I'm so glad he is still around cuz I always crave his pizza. Thank you Eddie, my fellow Met fan for making my favorite pizza and for making my childhood...

Originally we planned to get to Luigi’s in Parkslope Brooklyn, but encountered too many missed turns and traffic delays thus we needed something closer to JFK. So we happened thanks to the high rating in google, on finding Eddie D’s in Queens as our 1st New York pizza experience. We were immensely impressed! Eddie was accommodating and gracious. He told us he’s old school and been at it forty years. We had a chicken roll and a large pie. The best we’ve had. My only regret is we didn’t happen upon this place sooner! Next time we hope to go back soon so I can eat another cheese pizza and a chicken parm sub
