This place is fantastic! Best Guyanese/Caribbean food place that I had in a while. Food was fire. I walk in bro and it's just amazing. The place has such a welcoming feel to it. As soon as you walk in you get greeted with the smell of different dishes that sends you and your nose to food heaven. Food is bursting with flavor. Doubles is actual heat. This restaurant is actually gonna go places for sure. Russel is so cool 😎. Everyone is amazing. The workers are very nice and friendly. I love this place. So. So. So. Much. 5 reasons I love this place.
Food is good Again food is really really really good. If this place gets a bad review (It probably won't) it's probably either not true or just a misunderstanding. Never let the bad reviews fool you. This place is amazing. The fried rice is so good. Jerk chicken is also to die for. The texture of the chicken is amazing, and the flavor is off the charts. The Mac and Cheese is one of my favorites because its cheesy but if you get lucky, you will get a piece with the chewy, flavorful, and satisfying crust. The fried chicken is pretty good. In my opinion there is nothing that is bad on their menu. I love all the curries they are all so good and make you want to go back for more and eventually just eat their whole stock of curry😂💀. Keep in mind this is all my opinion. If you don't agree that's okay but im just stating my personal love for this place. They greet you and their very nice There is seating, and you can eat while looking outside. I love the view. They have amazing drinks and also, they sell Tennis Rolls and other amazing cool stuff like hot sauce. The hot sauce is pretty good and worth it, and they also sell pastries like Pine tart. They have curries and rice and stuff and if you just want a light snack, you can have the doubles or the other stuff, like the egg balls, or the chicken balls, and many more.
It might just sound like im yapping but im really not. Thats how good this place is. It's so good it got me writing a whole ahh essay review. I love love love this place. Shoutout to my boys Ayden and Zayn (don't forget Adam). Love u guyz. Overall, this place has excellent and remarkable service and food. Come here if you want an amazing, joyful, and most of all, flavorful experience. If you want fast Caribbean/Guyanese home cooked food in your area with a reasonable price that will make you feel right at home, then this is your place. YOU HAVE REACHED THE END OF THIS REVIEW SO YOU MIGHT AS WELL JUST GO BECAUSE ITS JUST THAT GOOD. YOU WON'T REGRET. THANK ME...
Read moreDisappointed this time around I drove 30 minutes to this spot because the first time I came, the food was excellent. Unfortunately, this visit was completely different. One of the women working there, the shorter one, had a bad attitude and seemed annoyed at my order.
I asked for 4 doubles with oxtail, and she questioned whether I really wanted oxtail since it has bones. Her coworker mentioned they were low on oxtail, but then the one assembling my order said they had more in the back. Instead of just preparing the order, she seemed frustrated and started packing things separately. When I reminded her I still wanted the 4 doubles and just the oxtail Seperately since it appeared to be an issue, she reluctantly assembled them with an attitude.
When I received my food, I was handed a tiny container with 5 very small pieces of oxtail, after being charged $22. When I asked about the portion size, she told me they “usually put around one oxtail per double.” The other employee was polite, and it was clear she agreed the portions aren’t typically likes this. Overall the service was disappointing and unprofessional.
It’s a shame because the food here was really good when I first came, but the service I experienced today completely ruined it. I hope management addresses this, because no one should be treated that way after making the effort to support...
Read moreCongratulations and welcome to the Valley Stream community where those who seek good cuisine will come from far and near. I noticed the new establishment while waiting at the light. Upon my entry I was welcomed by the server who also prepared the attracting dishes. The aroma made me reminisce of my grandma’s love. I purchased two large orders of oxtail and goat with peas and rice the first time and return again for the same. In addition, the customer service is consistent with welcoming and at times having related conversations with patrons.
Note: Each meal is prep and ready to serve. I respect that this establishment provides meals that one can tolerate especially if not customers to traditional meals (ie. a trained tongue of spices). This is a family business that I wish all the best in service...
