★★★☆☆ Amazing Food, But the Service Needs a Major Overhaul This review is tough to write because the food at Famous Pita is truly exceptional. It's a solid 5-star experience, and a huge part of that is thanks to the 5-star cook. This chef is a true gem. Not only does he create incredible food, but he also makes a genuine effort to connect with customers. He's Spanish and has taken the time to learn Hebrew, which is a wonderful and welcoming touch that makes you feel appreciated and happy to be there. However, the amazing food is completely overshadowed by a 0-star experience with the cashier. He was the opposite of welcoming—cold, detached, and seemed annoyed by our very presence. When we tried to order, he didn't explain the menu at all. When asked for shawarma, his only response was a clipped, "What? What? What?" as if we were supposed to be mind readers and already know the various options for serving it. This made the ordering process incredibly difficult and frustrating. To make matters worse, he was completely uncommunicative about the charges, simply barking, "Cash or card?" with no breakdown of the cost. The whole interaction felt like we were a nuisance. He also seemed annoyed when we asked for containers to take some of our food to go. Finally, there was the issue of cleaning the table. There are no signs indicating that customers are expected to bus their own tables. Yet, as we were leaving, the cashier seemed agitated that we were getting up without cleaning up after ourselves. While I understand the desire for a clean space, the lack of communication and the high prices they charge suggest they should have dedicated staff for this, not rely on the customers to do the work of a busser. As an executive chef myself, I understand the many challenges of running a restaurant, but there is no excuse for such cold and unwelcoming service. Customer care is paramount, and it's a shame that the front-of-house experience doesn't match the quality...
Read moreAnything less than 5 stars review for this establishment is malicious as far as im concerned. One thing i hate more than bad food is bad manners. and to put a low review for ANY restaurant, let alone the BEST food spot in OUR town is rude. If you really care about someones business send them an email or a note in snail mail. You will, at the least get a thank you at the most, you might even get free tehina or even a comp fries on the side. I just dont get people and their negative attitude and negative reviews. Famous Pita is a true work of art. From Miguel in the back kitchen who is a master, Marcelito in the from who REALY cares about your hunger and your appetite and is ALWAYS generous to Josh, Yonatan, or Gary in the front who never "just take your money" they always treat everyone with respect! I eat here almost every single day and sometimes there is a line and for good reason. people line up out the door for the best food. Long lines dont mean anything in fine dining besides that the food is good and that good things come to those who wait.98% of the time there is a very high level of efficiency and you get fine dining FAST wether it is to go or to stay. Sorry i went on a rant. I read a few of the fake reviews and i got upset and felt that it was my responsibility to...
Read moreFood is good but the service is really terrible. They are making sandwiches, not gourmet meals.
It should not take 15-20 minutes to get a Swarma Laffa. I don’t understand why the service is so poor. It is as if they are intentionally taking a long time to prepare. I asked the man at the front why it is taking so long and he told me it is good that I am waiting, it gets my anticipation up??? What a nutcase! Get your act together and do it soon! Service is so terrible it drives me insane! You do not need 6 employees to stand in a circle over the pitot! Your ticketing system is terrible, once a ticket is completed it should be thrown out. I don’t know why they bother taking phone numbers, they don’t text you till 5 hours later. This place is a showcase for poor service. Get your act together and hire more workers if you want to do a good job. It is a disgrace here.
Place is always dirty and needs to be cleaned after customer use. Tables are always covered in meat and tehiner. People do not want to eat...
