Bravo Pizza (K) — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Solid menu, ample seating.

Stopped in on a whim, and grabbed a pie and fries. Was busy (Saturday night), so there was a bit of a wait.

Pizza was nice with a delicious sauce, and the fries were amazing. Perfectly cooked with a crisp outside and fluffy soft inside. I would have loved to give this place 5-stars all around. However:

Having a bunch of different people servicing (taking order, receiving payment, collecting the items, etc) makes for a confusing shopping experience. We had to repeat our order to each person and ask for our drinks three times, to three different people and no one said "I'll get it for you."

I saw two instances of poor hygiene protocol. One worker was eating and handling food from his mouth. Using the same ungloved/unwashed hands to handle people's orders. Another worker licked his thumb (to make it easier to lift a paper, I presume), and did not wash his hand nor use gloves when handling food immediately afterwards.

I would love to come back and see an improvement in these two areas and...

I had a truly disappointing experience at Bravo and feel it's important to share my concerns. First and foremost, the staff were not wearing gloves while preparing and handling the food, which raises serious hygiene issues. I specifically requested my pizza be served piping hot, yet it arrived cold—barely above room temperature. This level of carelessness is completely unacceptable.

To make matters worse, the prices are outrageously inflated for the poor quality of food they serve. I was also charged an additional fee for using a credit card, which I was never informed about before the transaction. I only noticed this hidden charge when I looked at the receipt. This practice feels both unethical and, frankly, illegal. There is no legitimate reason for such a charge, especially when customers are not notified beforehand.

Went there today, pizza was not the standard "Bravo's" most of us know and love from the city. This tasted like a cheap knockoff, no undercarriage and a funky taste. Honestly not palatable. I've been here before but I heard it went downhill so I wasn't in complete shock but still had to see for myself.
