The Pizza Place — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Staff at this establishment do not understand that when someone wishes to make two separate orders, that for each individual order, method of payment should be asked for each order. Cashier assumed both orders would be on card and ran my card twice without consent for second transaction. Management are easily frustrated by technology and ultimately had to give cash refund.

If a customer states two separate orders, and it's too difficult to ask how each other is going to be paid, then that employee should not be working. I was offered bags for my two sodas, but I am plenty capable of carrying items myself, and do not need customer service assistance (I call it that, loosely). Let me get my items, listen to the order details to a fault, give me my receipts as needed and required, and move on.

Go here with cash only, record personnel o document as necessary to ensure orders and payment is done correctly. Shame this is one of the only two legitimate pizza places left. Marinara is the other one, and I believe both are owned by the same people. Avoid them as well...

Well the pizza is okay, i love the garlic knots and the pizza a whole pie is good but a lice over the counter... eww i dont know why, it just is, the employees are not the nicest people in the world, sure they do okay since they are near a high school but many of them go other places due to lack of respect such as Alphies down the street which is very good pizza and extremely nice employees. Pizza Place the workers are often rude to customers and have even made fun of some students with many witnesses. Id say that is illegal although i do not know for sure but it still costs a lot of buisness. I recomend NOT going there although it is a nice place wthout the employees and the food though is not so great but ordering from there is different the food is okay when you order and the delivery guys are decent. I’ve lived in the area for years, and more often than not, I’m met with rudeness on the phone when I place an order. There is an issue with their phone so they have trouble hearing me. A man literally yelled at me on the phone “I can’t hear you!” multiple times in an obnoxious tone. This has happened before with someone else, a woman. It’s as if it’s my fault their phone is broken! I do not encounter the hearing issue with anyone else. There’s A WAY to speak to people. They aren’t much nicer in person either. Their overall tone is obnoxious and rude and the epitome of why Long Islanders get a bad rep for their attitude. There are equally good, if not better, pizza places in the area- spend your money...
