Ferring Deli — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

The food is great. However I'm constantly disappointed with how things work in there.

To start, I tried making an order for pick up. It rang all the way until I got the answering machine. Then I was put on hold for 5 minutes and forgotten about. I call back a third time and finally got someone to take my order. After repeating it 3 times, she took it down.

I walked in and there is a huge line, as always, and there is NO effective method for pick up. Nobody notifies anyone, it's not left where any customers can access it when it's finished, it's awful and a huge waste of time.

My food was cold when I got it, and to top it all off the order was wrong. The food is great when they make it right, but the service is outright awful. I HOPE sombody in management reads this and takes some initiative to improve the service. Today date July 8th, 2025 … I see I have to reupdate this due the ignorance of the owners reply. That’s a perfect example of how they now run their business. Smart remarks instead of addressing the issue. Like it’s not the year 2025c what is he even talking about … go out the coke straw down and try to get your business back to what it used to be. This place straight sucks. Don not going here!!

Update from 2025… never will return here again. Staff are rude and disrespectful, don’t even know why I tried again. Stay far away from this trash deli ….

Food is on point but their cashiers need to learn to respect to the paying customers, there’s no “thank you”, “have a nice day”, or any kind of thanks when you give them your money and support them. I have been coming here for over 9 years. The service used to be better years ago. I get the same two Breakfast sandwiches for years. Now I know prices go up, but depending who is there I will pay almost 6.00 for a bacon and cheese on a roll with no egg and no extra bacon. Sometimes I pay 3.50 or 4.25 for the same thing. Management needs to get everyone in line with their prices or make an itemized price list for the sandwiches. I'm sorry but that is a complete turn off.
