Golden Crest — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Saturday night i came by the restaurant to order 2 meals. I ordered chicken and oxtail. I carried the meals home. I ate the chicken meal, but honestly, it wasn't palatable nor scrumptious to my taste bud. I left the oxtail meal for Sunday. When i open the meal Sunday, it was bones all over like I'm a dog. The lady took my money and gave me bones. Had she politely said that ,we have no more meat, just bones, i wouldn't feel away, but she gave me bones. Rather worse, spinnas was in the oxtail like I'm having soup or stew peas. You guys need to treat customers better and be upfront. Not because I'm not WHITE you must treat...

Great food and service! The place isn't the best for a sit down meal, first date or gorgeous ambiance, but they are great with providing what the customer wants. The wow factor isn't there for decor, but it's there for finger licking good food! They were out of steamed cabbage, but the lady who helped me got the chef to cook up a fresh batch just for me. I go there very often. Today i ordered a small oxtail suppose to be $10 and lunch special jerk chicken price $5.99 i got 2 frief dumplings and a fish cake.
