Julie's — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Not recommend it. We ordered 9 pupusas and two hot chocolates, according to the menu that they gave us each pupusa -frijol con queso, revuelta or queso con loroco- cost $2.25 but when we asked the check and realized that they were overchanging us one of the waitress when she was asked by my wife told her that each pupusa's price was raised to $2.75 not to mention that my wife asked the same question to the owner and she answered $2:50, so even with those prices there was still overchanging and the owner was not kind at all. They also charged us $10 for two hot chocolate and we' ve never seen those prices before because it wasn't our first visit to this place. A nice place to grab some great food. There's a language barrier for sure but we always manage to get the correct order. Staff is always very friendly. We've tried different things on the menu every time to explore new foods, the pickled cabbage side is my favorite(I do get that every time). I stopped coming here and have started going to Eben Ezer restaurant instead , which is also located in Inwood . Better pupusas and more pleasant staff there . It’s a shame I used to enjoy going to Julie’s, but there were just too many occasions when I would walk in and feel unwelcome and like I was a burden for giving them MY money .
