La Focaccia Lounge — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Very disappointed. The service was terrible: one waiter for the entire place, which had become packed. He also had an air about him, with zero personality. Pretty sure he was the owner. I will say, dinner was good. However, although the price was not terrible, the pasta specials seem to be $8.95, but are not except supposedly on Mondays & Tuesdays, which is not clearly stated, so we paid at least double. Dessert was uneatable. Dry and stale, tasting like it was sitting on the shelf for months. The only saving grace was the live band, who had enough personality to forgive the owner's lack thereof. This place is the definition of deplorable. The workers here are a bunch of lazy bums who like to scam their customers by serving frozen food. You're better off eating at home. Their food is terrible and they know it is and they don't care. They will try and manipulate you into thinking they are your "brother" when really they are your enemy. Enemy to your pallet and to your wallet. I truly hope this business gets shuts down. It's about time. You can't cook your customers fresh food? Don't bother cooking them anything at all. Nice cozy Italian bar and restaurant, went there on a Monday night, day after Christmas 2022 with family group at the last minute. They accommodated our large group and the service was very good. The food was okay, some of the menu items were unavailable but it was the friendly atmosphere and warm greetings from the regulars which added to enjoyable evening of family fun.
