As a Colombian, nothing fills me with more satisfaction than enjoying a Colombian made breakfast, even if that means having just a pan de queso (or pandebono) at an authentic Colombian bakery. This is by no means my first time in this place which not long ago was La Sevillana. I went in for breakfast this time with my family and I ordered two pandebonos. I asked if they could warm them up, they said the oven was off but they would put them in a microwave for me and they did. The pandebonos were steamy when served but when I bit into one, I realized they had overcooked it, in the microwave I thought. They were brown inside and hard as a rock (I didn't order pan de yuca!!) I asked my waiter to please exchange them but not to heat them up this time, they were still hard. I asked the owner/manager to look into this for me and she said they were all fresh and no one had complained about them before. She was right I have ordered pandebonos at this exact location before and they were not bad but I explained there was something wrong with this batch. The almojabanas next to these were much softer (not over baked!!!) note: almojabanas and pandebonos use the same dough, the only difference being the hole in the center for one and not the other. So I ate the cold almojabanas they were fine. At my time to pay, I was charged the overcooked pandebonos and a quick conversation with the manager did not solve anything. I don't blame them for having and serving a batch of overcooked bread, but Colombians, which I am proud to be, pride themselves in customer service and the managers response to my "are you charging me for the overcooked pandebonos?" question was a simple "you destroyed the breads so I had to charged you" is not only not acceptable but should be more than enough reason for this place to reconsider why it is in business in the first place. I hope she did not expect to serve me the nasty bread and after I rejected them to serve them to the next unsuspecting client. That is unacceptable. Customer service has definitely gone downhill and for a place that should, at least, pride itself in customer service, it has nothing left to offer but unauthentic Colombian food in an environment that is less then appealing. I will keep my business with La Calidad bakery down the block and even Colombia Tierra Querida on Sunrise Hwy a couple of blocks over whom the owners I know, are locals in Freeport and who have not forgotten why restaurants or in this case Colombian bakeries are in business to begin with. Sorry La Sevillana/Punto Rojo elsewhere but in Freeport you have too much competition to not treat your loyal...

Read moreNot to happy with this place , I have been coming here since they opened and the customer service was great then. Ordered my sons 3rd birthday cake always gave them my business. Even met the actual owner witch is a very nice man. But it has since changed ..... one of his sons is rude and disrespectful, I ordered empanadas for July 4th and for 30 empanadas it was about 52 and some change. I placed the same order about a week and half later and the price goes up 10 dollars for the same 30 empanadas . So I mentioned it to him politely and he goes that’s impossible because they went up to 2 dollars each in April. So I go but I just paid 52 on July 4th. So over a span of a a week and a couple of days they went up they never mentioned this over the phone as I am placed the order either. He continues to argue with me , so I showed him the resent charge and he still continues to make it seem like I am lying. Just based on that bad experience I will never bring my business to this location again. How...
