I've been patronizing Super Pollo since the very first day they opened in East Rockaway. I love their food especially the rotisserie chicken, fried calamari, yellow rice, beans, fried yucca, and avocado salad. Sometimes the chicken can be dry but the delicious green sauce (aji verde) helps to moisten it. Which is exactly why I don't like the fact that if I dine inside I can use as much green sauce as I want but when I order to go they are very stingy and inconsistent. If I order a ¼ chicken I get 1 green sauce, if I order 2 ¼'s of chicken I get 2 green sauces but if I order a whole chicken which is 4 ¼ chicken orders I only get 2 green sauces. HOW DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE?!!! It's basic math! 1 ¼ = 1 sauce, 4 ¼'s= 1 whole chicken should = 4 sauces but nooooo! You have to pay if you want more and the woman gives you the stink eye and an attitude if you try to explain how it makes no sense. The owner at the L.B. location even admits that it makes no sense but still no matter how many times I bring it up they refuse to change their stance. When I picked up my order last night and tried to reason once again, the curmudgeon woman at the register said, only 2 or you have to pay for more ... then to my surprise she turned and squirted some green sauce into a 3rd container and put it in the bag. I thanked her but when I got home and opened it up I couldn't believe what a ridiculous amount she gave me. WHAT MAKES A PERSON SO MISERABLE AND MISERLY? 🙄
