Would give them zero stars if I could. Worst experience ordering food in as long as I can remember! Ordered two bowls of soup and two past dishes and was told 45 mi. - one soup was tortellini en brodo; asked whether they were meat or cheese as my gf could not eat cheese, was told meat. One hour no food; called was told delivery was out. 20 min later called again, was told delivery person had wrong address , but would be there soon. He showed up 10 min later ( 1 1/2 total) and showed me the order with wrong address AND Phone. Tortellini was cheese , One pasta was linguine instead of Penne, both had been reheated and past was soggy. Called and asked for manager who said we could send someone to take it back and bring fresh food. I laughed, telling her I am hungry and NOT waiting again! I suggested that refund me $25 of 48.50 and/or email me a gift certificate. She said she could refund the $9.00 for the soup. At this point, I ANGRILY stated that she must be joking. She nastily told me that she could not help me if I yelled. Out of habit ( she eally didn't deserve an apology.) I apologized and stated I was irritable since I was hungry. She said she would have to talk to the owner. The owner apparently said we could send food back. I told manager that she should probably put owner on as I would be leaving many negative reviews, The owner who was barely understandable do to thick accident did not seem to understand that I did not want to send everything back despite the issues, since I was HUNGRY, but that she should attempt to compensate me for the serious inconvenience, We packed it all up and sent it back. I will NEVER go...
Read moreVilla Maria holds a special place in my heart as one of my favorite local pizzerias/restaurants. Ever since I moved into the neighborhood around two years ago, it's been my go-to spot for delicious food and generous portions. This place has become my "ole reliable," consistently delivering top-notch meals that never disappoint.
While I initially stuck to ordering takeout, I've recently started dining in, and the experience has only reinforced my love for Villa Maria. The staff is always friendly, and the wait to be seated is never too long, adding to the overall welcoming atmosphere.
Though I'm not entirely certain, I believe the owner is an older woman who is usually behind the register – a detail that's become less important than the warmth and kindness she exudes. My fiancé and I affectionately refer to her as Nonna, a testament to the familial bond we feel with her. It's clear that she touches the hearts of many patrons, past and present. Whenever the craving for Italian strikes, the question naturally arises: "Shall we visit Nonna's?" Her presence infuses Villa Maria with a homely charm that transforms each visit into a heartfelt experience. It's her personal touch that truly elevates Villa Maria beyond a mere restaurant, making it a cherished part of our...
Read moreRead moreI go to VILLA MARIA regularly, for a long time, for take out, and sometimes dine in. BEST food I have Ever had ! They are my Favorite Restaurant ! & no where else is even close. I Always order an extra meal + soups for the next day. Like All Restaurants when you order Take Out, you MUST Confirm what you ordered is Repeated + In your bags. SAME thing for ANY Restaurant If you do Not Confirm on the phone you are understood you may not get what you ordered. The words Caesar Salad may sound like Seafood Salad. This is human nature. So Confirm on the Phone, & when picking up or receiving take outs check the bags for what you requested. Villa Maria has my favorites: Whole Wheat pasta & pizza, and they make the best tasting Italian food I have ever had !. Like All Restaurants today in this post-Covid world: Either the price goes up to cover over-inflated costs - Or- Other Restaurants will make the portions smaller to cover their Higher Costs. However, my appetite remains the same, & I use credit cards that offer 5+% rewards to cover the extra costs these days, but I will Never give up on the Fantastic tasting food @ VILLA MARIA, E....
