I have to leave another review as I revisited the restaurant last night. Once again, I will not be returning. SO SAD because the food is really good. But wayyyy too many rules. Can't have gravy on the side. Just when I thought that was bad, I asked for dark meat only and was told I couldn't have, I was told I HAVE to mix with white meat. I asked why! I honestly thought I was hearing things. After driving 40 minutes to get there coming from out East and looking forward to my meal after a long day of work. I was told I could not have dark meat because they get left with too much white meat at the end of the night and it goes to waste. the cook said, "If you want dark meat you have to wait 30 minutes." Well, if you know this , maybe you should plan better, just a thought!Although. They had dark meat readily available at the time I placed my order. I literally was speechless. So my suggestion was since you offered 1/2 dark meat, how about I pay 1/2 price for the meal. Of course, that was unacceptable to them. It would be like you ordered a beef burger and was told we have beef, but can't give it to you, in case another customer wants it. Why are you saving for others when you have more chicken right there to cook! Honestly, I can't take jamaican restaurants. I've been to many, and the ones I've personally visited are all the same. A ton of rice and 1 piece of chicken chopped and spread all over the rice to make it look like they gave you a lot. The beauty of choice is I don't have to deal with it, and I won't. There are other ethnic foods I enjoy just as well. I am so done with jamaican restaurants, their rules, and their unprofessionalism. They are quick to take your money and charge for every little thing (1/4 of sauce in 1/4 cup container, .50 and you need about 4 of them, ridiculous) Went to Halal! Just as good....
Read moreUpdate: Unfortunately this location is falling to pieces. The last FEW times Ive visited the experience has gone from bad to worse and its showing how unsanitary the workers have become. If you order a large jerk chicken you either get it super dry, half cooked or all white meat when you ask for dark meat only or a regular order which should consist of white and dark meat. On my most recent order 1/13/22- Aside from HALF of my jerk chicken order being not all the way done, help me to understand how MULTIPLE pieces of someone's rubber gloves was in the large order of rice. I found a tip of the glove while scooping the rice out. My daughter found another piece in her food. Like we appreciate you using gloves but if you start off with a glove and come back with parts melted off and/or missing, the food youre handling should be tossed! Thats disgusting and definitely cheaper than a lawsuit..
My 1st Summer Experience: Ommmmmgggg! I am soooooo hooked on the jerk from here. Its soooooo good! That authentic flavor Ive missed for so long!! There might be a little wait because its always a line but its soooooo worth it! They've definately won a spot in my heart!
Oh.. Don't forget to bring cash because they don't take cards but don't let that stop the...

This was one of the few restaurants I often visited in Hempstead Nassau County. However, it will be my last time until they find the right replacement for their cook, who is no longer with them. The customer service and food are horrible. My last visit two months ago the food was horrible rice everything tasted like it had gone bad. My 13 year old wouldn't eat the food. Today, April 22, 2023, the young lady at the register needs training she's too caught up running her mouth with the cooks and having an opinion of the customer. For twenty minutes, she had me waiting before she took my order. The cooks need to work on their skills because they are serving some raw meat up in there. The food is off tonight and almost 6 to 8 cooks, and the food doesn't taste right. When you tried to say to them privately how it tastes, they wanted to make it public and insultive. Whoever the owner is, if you haven't started losing customers, already start working on your employees' customer relations. Also, a priority is to find the right cooks or those that are there to improve ...
