Vincenzo's & The Chef's Hat — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

A lot of good here with the long Sicilian slice and probably the best Margarita slice around. I've seen the manager (owner?) work a busy kitchen and handle it all, while remaining very calm towards everyone working. That's worth mentioning as well. That being said what disappoints me is that their "large pizza" is 16 inches while the slices you get to go are from a 20 inch pie. The standard large pie has always been 18 inches. It's what I expect when I order one. I have people to feed and smaller slices are not gonna cut it...even if I order more than one. But sure why that decision would be made. Also, not a fan of the 4% credit card fee (no it's not a cash discount, businesses aren't fooling anyone). What you get for this is a smaller pizza. It's their choice but don't expect everyone to like it....

Unfortunately, common sense doesn't seem to exist within the staff. Placed an order through Doordash and waited roughly an hour without any confirmation but assumed that the order had been prepared since this store uses their own drivers. Called the restaurant to check in on the order progress and the girl who answered said "Yeah... you're going to have to go through Doordash and get a refund. They keep calling us but we never accepted the order." ...Are you actually stupid? Why wouldn't you contact me then if you weren't going to accept my order, instead proving you have poor customer service skills my ignoring both a pending order and the Doordash customer support. Would not place an order through a food service app...

Best pizza ever honestly. I just think the staff is really young & need more customer service experience. Lol I was asked to move because boxes were being folded and before that I was blatantly ignored by the girl taking my order and the only reason she acknowledge me was because the other customer said something. She clearly didn’t cared. It took for the customer to say “hey wasn’t you here before me” for her to even Acknowledge my present like I wasn’t standing in front of her first🤔Meanwhile its just us 2 at the counter.
