I seldomly give 5 stars as very few places in the Mohawk Valley live up to this level!

For a neighbor "pub", that ends at the entrance! The bar is simply an ordering point, NOT the focus of the establishment! This is a restaurant you can safely bring your children and not hear profanity! It's like a family room especially near the fireplace partition. You DON'T need to yell to be heard. Music is background volume at most. The clientele is not bar crowd so you can converse and not leave with a sore throat!

ON TO THE FOOD!!! I'm full blooded Italian and very fussy with quality Italian cuisine! It's an Irish pub but I swear they got an Italian grandma in the kitchen!! The red sauce and vodka sauce is delicious , the francaise spot on, and the Alfredo is full of cheese flavor not thick flour paste! Every dish I've ever had has been excellent! Portions always require a "to go" box! The utica greens are not soupy, but dry,loaded with flavor, garlic to a fault! The bread is homemade, and salads to order. American dishes are where they could do better. The strip steaks are very tasty but tough. I like my steak rare to medium rare, but it always comes near well done! The baby back ribs are good but no better than Applebee's. Their fish fry is very good and the baked as well. I've dined there for years with friends and family and always recommend it for a family friendly atmosphere and quality food! The staff is very friendly, accommodating, and will meet most special requests like no mushrooms, or whatever you don't like, and MORE of what you do like. They do their best and you never hear no substitution or modifications. You get one chance; tell me either of those things, my business will go elsewhere and your review will reflect this! Price doesn't equal quality nor does it impress me! It raises my level of expectation, and you better earn it! Unless youre in Amish country, the phrase "farm to table" is just marketing hype! I fully support local restaurants and businesses. Herkimer has enough pizza joints, this is 💯 REAL food !! 😋🇮🇹👍🍝

Love this place! Had a fantastic first experience and will definitely make PK's a regular stop for a few brewskies, a great meal, or both! We had a party of 5 and were seated right away. EVERYONE was super friendly and attentive to our needs. It was obvious the employees enjoyed their jobs, lots of smiles and great attitudes, made for a really enjoyable atmosphere. Our appetizers were brought out quickly and we were able to enjoy our drinks and munchies while our entrées were prepared. I wish I got more pics because everything looked awesome! All food was brought out hot and all together, just a few minutes after we finished our apps. Now let me just say, greens are an absolute favorite of mine, I order them everywhere, every chance I get. Hands down! PK's NAILS IT with their greens! Dare I say, they're the best I've had. We used them to cater a Christmas party back in December for 44 people. We paid $700. Our order was wrong. Chicken Marcel was supposed to be boneless chicken - it wasn't. We were supposed to get baked Red Potatoes - got yellow and all weren't done. Mixed veggies were hard and cold. The Pulled Pork was SPOILED. It smelled rank. Our co-chairs called with our concerns and we were told "we would be refund ed". We also have a text message from them saying that there would be a check in the mail the next day - never came.
