I’m kind of disheartened to have to post this review, but after my experience last night, I’m not sure if I’ll be back. I’ve gone to Salsa’s for years now and lately my bf and I have come in at least 2-3 times a week. Last night, I brought my cousin in for dinner. After waiting 15 mins to be greeted and put in our drink order, both of us were ID’d (to be expected and is completely okay) but he questioned her birthday despite her turning 21 last month and having a horizontal ID. I am a bartender too, and I reassured him she had just turned 21. We didn’t order “grande” margaritas yet were given them, and when I got our bill I understood why. Our drinks were made fairly quickly, but we were never given food menus, and our server came over to take our order and I asked for menus to which he seemed almost annoyed. After getting menus, it was nearly 20 mins before we were able to place our order and I had a to go order too which I had placed at the same time. The food came out quickly and tasted amazing as always. Then again, we waited another 20 mins before I had to ask him in passing for to go boxes and the check. We got our boxes, and I had to ask again for the check about 10 mins later and our server seemed annoyed yet again. We got the bill (still no to go order), and the margaritas were $17 a piece. Had I known that we would’ve got one and split it since neither of us were able to finish ours. Eventually, the to go arrived and we were thankfully able to leave. Not one thank you or ounce of hospitality. I understand being busy. I understand having a lot going on at once. However I don’t understand the lack of basic manners. I truly hope it was a one time occurrence, and hope to never have that server again… I’ve always tipped half of the bill ($10 on a $20 check) there and he definitely didn’t get it last night nor did he...
Read moreUnassuming exterior leads to a dark and not very appealing interior. The tables are painted a very unappealing brown with some kind of cheap latex that's not really meant to tolerate the heat of hot plates.
If there was music, I don't remember hearing it. Only one television over the bar was on with a soccer game.
Our waiter was very pleasant and hardly spoke English at all. In spite of that, he was very amiable.
The salsa was FABULOUS! Fresh minced jalapeños and onions flavored the salsa instead of cayenne pepper to make it hot.
My fajitas were also very good but very skimpy on the shrimps. Also, 3 small flour tortillas were not sufficient. The salad for the fajitas was mostly lettuce and very few tomatoes and barely any sour cream. No guacamole with the salad, either.
The dessert of fried ice cream was not good. The flakes and tortilla bowl were both quite stale and only chocolate syrup instead of honey.
My son had enchiladas which were excellent but the same situation with the salad and dessert. We did take home an order of flan that was wonderful.
The women's bathroom was........atrocious. I don't know how or when a fork made its way onto the floor and under the sink, but the bathroom had not been thoroughly cleaned in ages, and it was obvious.
Salsa's has phenomenally good food. The owners need to clean the establishment from top to bottom and liven the place up with colorful and festive decor and delightful ethnic music - get rid of the flags hanging from the ceiling. Either strip the paint off of the tables or replace them with heat-resistant table tops.
Create an environment at Salsa's worthy of the outstanding food and...
Read moreYes ! My husband and I loved this place. It was our first time so we were acting all kinds brand new. Place looks sketch with them parking lot like that but inside is pretty nice. We went kind of mid day so it wasnt crowded at all but they had a couple costumers and only one waiter at the time. But costumer service was on top of it. He was never not around yet wasnt on top of us either. It’s like when we realize we don’t have something he came. I swear when I realized I almost finished my Apple soda I asked my man if he wanted to share one more and the waiter came seeing our communication & it felt great to not have to break my neck to find one you know. The food WOW I had already fallen in love with their shrimp in coco as an appetizer and it was delishhh. I couldn’t wait for my dinner. I don’t remember what it was called but it tasted so authentic that you can tell by their salsas maybe a touch more on cilantro y cebolla but it was homemade. My husbands alambre was amazing. It’s been a good minute since I’ve had an alambre that was blended so good. The drinks we didn’t try out well cause it was around 2pm and we was driving an hour away so we couldn’t try out much margaritas so we stuck with the basics micheladas y Jarritos. I forgot to ask if they had any jugos. Oops. The owners seemed really...
