Save your time and money. I went here about a year ago and said I would never go back but I tried it anyway. Last time there was flies/gnats buzzing all around us and the waitress watched. She came over at the end of our meal and said she was sorry about the flies they were having some problem with them at the time. This time we sat for over 1 hour with orders in for 4 people. The waitress said there was a party of 55 so they were behind after we asked 50 minutes into our wait. The owner, an older blondish lady, walked by numerous times and never said anything. The owner saw and heard people being annoyed over the wait but did nothing other than sit her but down and order some waitress to take her and 2 others at her table orders. They sat there drinking and having a good time while people waited for food. The place wasn't even packed. The Cioppini sauce was not good, it used to be and the calamari was oily, literally the lettuce on bottom was soaked in oil. The beer we got tasted off and the bartender said it was bad because other people said so as it was the bottom of the keg. They changed the keg and it was fine, nothing like trying to save a few pennies not changing it when people complain and it's at the bottom. Go to another place like Jerlando's or Libbs. This place is full of elderly people sitting at the bar and no one cares about the customers. Our waitress is new and asked the manager a question in front of us and the manager said for the waitress to go look for herself. The manager wasn't doing anything but talking at the bar. The lady's room had a water leak and women slipped but no one cared about it. The owner actually just sat at her table with some wine laughing. One wItress came out and asked 3 other waitresses to feel the food and they all said it was cold. She still served it to the table. There's much better places that care about the customer...
Read moreI decided to dine-in last night (11/9) for an impromptu dinner with my wife and a couple of friends. The atmosphere is quite welcoming (albeit a rather large photo behind the hostess counter - assuming the owner/wife?) upon entering with a feeling of warmth and comfortability. Warm lighting, warm wood features, and friendly faces abound the restaurant. We were seated quickly. The manager was very courteous and accommodating. Our server was attentive and genuinely kind. For dinner I had the special. It was fabulous! Not too dry and presented with a flare one would expect given the energy and atmospheric vibe. Warm, sliced, Italian bread is served prior to menu choosing, along with olive oil and Italian seasoning. I ordered the charcuterie board, and although a tasty treat and wonderful presentation, might I suggest smaller slices of the ham choices? It seems intrusive to offer half-moon mozzarella and salami only to throw quad-foldable slices of deli ham on the board as if to say "we don't have time to slice the ham". Perhaps an oversight and not a normal presentation, but worth noting nonetheless. Also, we enjoyed a few drinks to cap off the night and they were all made perfectly! I would absolutely consider dining here again, and again. It's a local favorite and during this world of uncertainty I strongly encourage you as the reader, to consider supporting local and dining...
Read moreAs the ruler of Zamunda, I have tasted delicacies from every corner of the globe, but today, I found myself at Tanino Ristorante in Horseheads, and what an experience it was!
The ambiance was fit for royalty, with a warm, inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home, far from the opulent halls of my palace. The table was elegantly set, with a centerpiece that added a festive touch, reminiscent of Zamundan celebrations.
The culinary presentation was nothing short of spectacular. The steak, a marvel of culinary art, was cooked to perfection, grilled rare that would please even the most discerning of palates. The asparagus, bright and crisp, alongside the mushrooms, offered a delightful contrast in both texture and flavor, enhancing the meal's overall experience.
The service was impeccable, with staff attending to our needs with a grace and efficiency that any courtier would admire. Their attention to detail made the dining experience not just about the food but about feeling like royalty.
I, the King of Zamunda, hereby decree that Tanino Ristorante is a must-visit for anyone seeking a dining experience that combines exquisite cuisine with the warmth of true hospitality. Whether you're a king or a commoner, this place will make you feel like royalty. I shall return, not just for the food, but for the experience of dining like a king, even when far...
