Really upset about my poke bowl. It's not gluten free, and usually they are. It's not even really a poke bowl, honestly. It comes with "crunch" sprinkled all over, a totally unnecessary addition that makes this inedible and a waste of nearly $40. I tried to scoop out the affected parts but it's pretty much on everything. This is just so upsetting because a poke bowl is usually a safe option for somebody with a gluten allergy. In addition, it's not a very good poke bowl (period). It has crazy amounts of a mayo dressing and isn't focused on fresh, healthy ingredients like a poke bowl usually is. They just took their sushi ingredients and threw it on rice and added spicy mayo. This is Japanese-American fast food, NOT Hawaiian poke. A poke bowl is not the same thing as sushi but in another form, it's a different dish entirely (it's Hawaiian, not Japanese, for starters). The seaweed salad, the mayo sauce, and the unnecessary fried crunchy stuff makes this way less appetizing than an actual poke bowl. A poke bowl should feel fresh, light, and healthy. Unbelievably disappointing. The only thing I can commend is the portion size, which is appropriate even though the price is on the higher side of acceptable. If this was a true poke bowl, at this portion size, I'd be a happy customer. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

I’ve been eating at Aki for about 9 years now. The fish is consistently fresh and the food is consistently delicious! They have a larger selection of specialty rolls than other places in the area, and the flavor combinations are on point. I have tried many of their rolls, entrees and appetizers, over the years, and have enjoyed them all. My favorite roll is the Red Dragon (for tuna fans.) Aki gives you a nicely sized slice of fish on top of each piece of sushi or maki. Their portions are generous, when compared to other places in town, and their food is better, in my opinion. There are probably around 10 sushi places in the East Northport area, and (after trying them all) I only eat at two of them (Aki being one.) Aki is superior because of the freshness, quality and flavor of their food. Next time you’re in the mood for sushi, try Aki. I think you will agree! PS: My photos are from a recent takeout order. I will update with restaurant photos the next time I dine-in.

I'd been rather dismayed at most of the local restaurants around Huntington and East Northport, coming from LA and NYC. But then we ate at Aki, newly relocated from their previous location on Jericho Turnpike. I'd have to say this is some of the best Sushi I've ever eaten. The Jericho roll was a spectacular taste sensation far surpassing anything I've been served at the places sushi fanatics have dragged me to around LA and NYC. Nobu ain't got nothing on this place - and the prices were unbelievably affordable.

Aki is always a good choice. One of two top places all over Long Island. The food is always fresh and delicious. Their friendship salad offers a variety of fresh fish with vegetables. The portions are big enough to share between two people. Today I ordered the friendship salad, Kani salad, vegetable roll and chicken fried rise and everything cost us under $50 yet my daughter and I could finish only half of the food. The only thing I wish their chicken fried rice was just like vegetable fried rise but with chicken added because I find it hard to choose between them two. When it comes to food I'm so finicky and consider myself as a connoisseur. I can tell for sure that you can never go wrong with Aki. These guys know their job very well and I'm glad they are pretty...
