EL Ranchito Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Town of Huntington

I had to try this place as it was just down the road. I discovered it after doing some research on Mole sauce, as I wanted to try my hand at making it, and discovered this was one of a very few restaurants that prepared such a complex dish. It was DELICIOUSLY spicy! I decided it was not the sauce I was expecting based on my research, but fantastic none the less. I got it 'to go' and was pleased to find everything I needed in my bag, along with a very generous amount of what was definitely house made chips and salsa (Very crisp, fresh chips). I ordered two chicken Mexican burritos. I got home noticed there was just chicken and rice in it. There was absolutely NO cheese, guacamole, sour cream or pico de gallo. Not a big deal, so I call them to tell them that there was nothing on the burritos. They instruct me to come back to the restaurant and they would replace the burritos. I get there and they said, "We need the original burritos to alter them." I respond, "So you want me to bring back food during COVID and you want to alter it?" HOW DISGUSTING!!! Honestly I should just learn to listen to people. Ive been told this place was bad but i felt like i needed to try it myself. I got 2 tacos , and a torta. Now I’ve tried many tortas from the east to the west coast. Some are blah , other are amazing but this doesn’t even fall anywhere in between. It tasted like something was rotten in it but i couldn’t even figure out what after examining the contents. The tacos were a 2/10 , the meat had no flavor but the sauce on it gave it a little something. Just so so disappointed. I wanted to like them soooooo bad. Especially because it’s down the block from my home....
