Me and my family dined here for the first time. We are a party of 6 (4 little ones) our waitress was so nice and made us feel comfortable dining with our little ones. Crayons were brought to the table immediately and she engaged in conversation with them. The manager Eric came over to our table to welcome us and Introduce himself where he then also engaged with my kids. Our drinks were absolutely amazing and the food was beyond our expectations! We ordered the wings and oysters as an appetizer followed up with popcorn chicken for the kids and skirt steak and fish n’ chips dinner. After our first bite my husband and I both looked at each other and said “we are definitely coming back here”. Eric and Haley both came back to check on us and commented on how well behaved our kids were (appreciate them lying haha) just kidding. For dessert we dabbed in literally a little of everything from cheesecake, crème brûlée , bread pudding and a brownie!! I have no wordsssssss! They were allllllll AMAZING!! Really amazing food welcoming environment and friendly staff! I’m used to managers making themself present at top steak houses, the fact that Eric went out of his way to make me and my kids feel welcomed meant a lot to us and made us feel welcome. Dining with 4 little ones can be an uncomfortable experience as you never want to feel like your disturbing anyone else’s dinner, Eric and Haley made us feel so welcome it was the last concern on my mind, we will 100% be coming back here.

TL;DR - Get the coffee! This evening, I was a solo diner. It was a Saturday night, and I was warmly welcomed and attended to. I was concerned that I would feel like I was on stage dining by myself. I was, surprisingly, comfortable. Tonight, I had with the beet and goat cheese salad to start. I thought the beets were on the salty side, but otherwise, the dish was well balanced. I think it should be served with bread. For my entree, I enjoyed short rib fettuccine with mushroom cream sauce and butter tomatoes. It was absolutely decadent creamy and mushroomy. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the short ribs were melt in your mouth tender. I'm not really sure how I feel about the tomatoes. I understand the need for some acidity to cut the creaminess, I ji a t mightve gone a different way. For desert, my favorite part of the meal, I had the cheesecake and a cup (a whole pot) of French press coffee. The cheesecake was bruleed and served with real deal marrichino cherries, the dark ones, not the bright red ones. The coffee, though, was the highlight of the meal. I now know I need to purchase a French press of my very own. The atmosphere was cozy, dimly lit. Perfect for date night. I won't lie. I needed to use the flashlight on my phone to read the menu. I think that means I'm officially old. The service was so warm and attentive. I will definitely return in the future.

We went here after an exhausting day on a Tuesday, 3 weeks ago. The room with the fire place was cozy. The waitress was a joy and the food was yummy. I had the marinated skirt steak and my hubby had the fish and chips. A fantastic meal that made us come back last Friday night to try the burgers. They were a dry, tasteless and a huge disappointment. There are way too many, really great burger, places to be disappointed in a burger here. The waitress warned us. They would be dry if we cooked them to be well done. I told her if the meat was quality meat it would not be dry. But she forewarned us. No lettuce and tomato on the burgers at all. So dry I couldn’t eat it. Had to bring it home and give it to someone else, left there hungry. If Burger King can make a juicy burger well done, then so can you. You could certainly elevate the burger by serving it with the fries you serve with the fish and chips instead of the McDonald’s type fries you serve your burgers with. The waitress warned us they were going to be dried out if we asked for them well done and she was right. As we were leaving, it seems like everybody had burgers that night and everyone left half of them on their plate. Telling. Not a place to eat a burger. Especially when your bill is $85. Before tip and Burger King would’ve been tastier. And not a place to go on the weekends it’s too crowded and I think that’s the reason why the food was awful. As much as it’s busy during the week, it’s not insanely crowded like it is on the weekends and I think the chef is probably better on a Tuesday. The one on the Friday night certainly did not care how the food came out that night, If he/ she was a chef at all. Dry and burnt. The marinated steak though on that Tuesday night and that fish and chips… mmm mmm mmm. So good....

Old Field's is a fabulous experience. It is a warm, cozy and inviting pub ( great Bartender; Ron ) and steakhouse that does everything right. I perceive that the owner; Dave, knows his craft as he has done well in educating and instructing his staff in a way that produces a very professional presentation, but also what appears to me to be happy servers and front end support. Everyone here is super smiley, friendly and just super nice and seem to stay around and like working here. That makes a difference, IMO. Rob, Ron, Beck, Haley, Taylor, and others all are superb. The food is always great, and although the menu changes and daily specials are offered, Old Field's keeps the most favorite items on the menu, such as the marinated skirt steak, Dave's Roasted Chicken and other delicious entrees and apps. Every food item is delicious and consistent and perfect and the attention to detail shows that Dave the owner and staff strive to present the best experience to their patrons. I am always impressed, satisfied and happy when I come here. And as an example of the attention to detail, which may be lost on many customers, is that the serving staff, when presenting your entree at your table, will spin the plate in front of you to lay it in the perfect presentation position. That's impressive attention to detail, Wow! So Nice! That type of detail clearly shows that Old Field's cares, and cares a lot. Bravo! I thank Old Field's for being a valuable asset in my enjoyment of Life and highly recommend it to all that love great food, great service, great atmosphere and...
