The Egg at the Culinary Institute of America is a true culinary gem. With its innovative approach to dining and commitment to excellence, this cafeteria hall offers an exceptional experience that goes beyond the typical campus dining. Located on the prestigious Culinary Institute of America campus in Hyde Park, New York, The Egg stands out as a hub of gastronomic delight.

From the moment you step inside, you are enveloped in an atmosphere that exudes culinary passion. The design is modern and inviting, with an open kitchen concept that allows diners to observe the chefs at work. The hall is flooded with natural light, creating a warm and inviting space that's perfect for enjoying a meal.

One of The Egg's most impressive features is its ever-changing menu. The culinary students, who are the future stars of the food industry, prepare and serve the food. This means that you can savor a wide range of dishes, from classic comfort food to avant-garde creations. The seasonal and locally sourced ingredients are highlighted in each dish, and the presentation is nothing short of art.

Whether you're in the mood for a hearty brunch, a light lunch, or a sophisticated dinner, The Egg has you covered. The variety of options ensures that there's something for everyone. Their culinary prowess shines in their daily specials and themed events, which often showcase international cuisines.

The commitment to sustainability is evident in their eco-friendly practices. The use of reusable dinnerware, recycling stations, and a focus on minimizing food waste demonstrates their dedication to environmental responsibility.

The service at The Egg is impeccable. The student staff are not only knowledgeable but also eager to engage with diners. They are always ready to provide recommendations and share their passion for food.

The culinary journey at The Egg is elevated by the well-curated beverage offerings. From artisanal coffee to a selection of wines, the beverage menu complements the food choices perfectly.

The atmosphere at The Egg is further enhanced by its commitment to promoting culinary education. It's not just a place to eat; it's an opportunity to learn. The open kitchen design allows diners to see firsthand how the culinary magic happens. Culinary Institute of America students are honing their skills in real-time, which adds an educational aspect to the dining experience.

The Egg at the Culinary Institute of America is more than a cafeteria hall; it's a gastronomic adventure. Its dedication to culinary excellence, sustainability, and education makes it a standout destination for food enthusiasts and anyone who appreciates a delicious, memorable dining experience. This is a place where you not only savor exceptional food but also witness the future of the culinary world in the making. Don't miss the chance to experience this culinary haven if you find yourself...

We wanted to go there to try something new. We got there alittle early, so all the vendors weren’t open but we went to The Innovation, and the food was delicious.

The food is enough for two people and it was a good price. The students were nice and respectful as well. My daughter liked the atmosphere, environment, and the interior of The Egg❤️

We will definitely come back for more delicious food. It was our for time there and it won’t be our last. The young man in The Innovation was professional and the details in explaining the food was great.

The young 2 ladies who were at the register were nice and friendly, and the young lady in The Market, is was nice too we went Thursday (Jan 11, 2024)

Thank you everyone at The Egg, keep up the good work. Oh yes the 2 students I asked outside to find The Egg, Thank you for helping me with the directions to get there.

To the whole Culinary Arts Students, Thank you!❤️ Stay Bless, Safe, and Healthy. I wish all of yall, success in all that you do....

As a graduating student, my opinion of the egg is not good. I've never heard any of my classmates say anything positive about the egg either. First and foremost, it's the student's designated food hall. there are 4 and half other restaurants on site, which pull in a lot of tourists. there's also literal your groups that come through, and the students deserve to have a space free from tourists and random people staring at them. The tables are always dirty, especially during dinner, because a few specific staff members spend most of their time chatting instead of actually cleaning. I've gotten into a habit of turning the table to the cleanest side before eating. I went to a friend's food hall, and was blown away. Tables were clean, you didn't have to wait for food, and their meal plan was far more accommodating. I'd say on average, their food was at par with the Egg. And they don't even have a...

This is kind of a cool place especially for lunch. They have about 8 dishes you can choose from that change daily. I had some kind of chicken, broccoli and rice bowl with interesting flavors. My friend had a very good chicken sandwich served with mozzarella, arugula, and other assorted flavors and spices. This is all done cafeteria style in a way and the price is a whopping $10 for non-students, an absolute bargain. What I like is that you can try something you may ordinarily try not in an expensive restaurant and who cares if you aren't thrilled for $10? There's a patio and benches you can eat on by the Hudson. Or, you can enjoy the air conditioning inside (very hot day today but are outside anyway). A very pleasant experience. I'd definitely go back.

I loved it. The students prepare the dishes and serve you as well. There are many different items to pick from. This changes daily and there are several stations to try different things. I had ramen with flank steak. The flank steak was probably one of the best I have ever tried. This is a great place to experience the dishes the students are making. I would give this more stars if I could. If I was a student I would eat there daily. What a great place!

Wonderful student rec building at the Culinary Institute for the students to hang out and socialize in their free time. Great view of the Hudson River. Loved the signage that tells the distances to their campuses in Texas and California. The cafeteria looks like it has a really good variety of food options and the brewery is an impressive facility. Also love the mural of Anthony Bourdain on the outside
