We went on Feb 28th for my birthday dinner. I was a little hesitant because it is a hotel lobby, but they have managed to transform the space into a very intimate, relaxing upscale vibe. They had live classical music playing, which really helped give it a trendy feel and made the space more special. The lobby is stunning with a center fireplace, cozy furniture, dim lighting, and very clean. There are multiple spaces to meet everyone's ascetic for the night. There are dining tables of different sizes, lounge chairs, sofa sections, bar seating, booth style seating, and high back chair seating as well. We had a group of 11 people. They reserved a table for all of us when we made a reservation. Which was pre-set with napkin linen, plates, menus, and lighting. Seating was comfortable. We were not all smushed in or bumping elbows. The wait staff was friendly, dressed to match the room, professional and very knowledgeable about the menu. Drinks came quickly, and we were always asked if we needed another before the drink was completely empty. Our food orders were all correct and come out in a timely manner. The portions were filling, and the appetizers were unique and delicious. The drink menu has several options. The drinks are deliciously made and come looking fancy in gorgeous glassware. They all have garnish and are served chilled. This hotel also has 2 hosting locations. 1 is located on the 1st main floor away from the lobby that seats 200+ people. It would be less with a dance floor. There are bathrooms right outside and a small lobby area that offers tables and an outside door to the patio. The other is located on the 5th floor. There is a large window that brings in plenty of light that overlooks the beautiful culinary school. There are also 2 hotel rooms (at least 1 of them has a kitchenette in it) connected off this space. This would be a great space for showers, birthdays, business luncheons, bridle getting ready space, milestone celebrations, and many other gathers. This space would also be very photogenic due to the natural light! There is also an outside patio space with comfortable seating and a fireplace. This patio is right between the lobby/bar area and the larger main floor banquet room, making it central for everyone to use.

Nice looking place but mediocre food for the price, and poor service. Maybe they are still getting their footing, but I can't rate this restaurant more than a 3. We shared an arugula salad, both ordered a hamburger, which came with fries, and a glass of wine each. The pre-tip bill was over $100. The arugula salad came with 4 slivers of apples, some candied nuts and was slightly larger than a typical side salad that comes with most meals. The beef was grass fed, the burger tasted fine, but it's a burger. Simply not worth the price especially when you factor in the lack of service. It was nearly impossible to get anyone to notice we walked in and there was essentially no one in the restaurant. We arrived at 5:30 and didn't leave until 7:30 the service was that slow. The menu is quite limited. Not recommended.

This review is for the hotel breakfast: The breakfast buffet is included in your room price. There was a very large selection each morning. I am vegan and I appreciated the oatmeal with toppings, fresh fruit, and potatoes each morning. For those that eat dairy and meat, there were several hot items (eggs, sausage, bacon, egg dishes, etc that rotated each morning), waffles, many different pastries, and yogurt. Salim was overseeing the breakfast area and was very attentive and helpful. He kept everything stocked and clean - all while smiling and helping guests. I did not eat at this restaurant for any other meals as they did not offer vegan options on the menu and it looked rather overpriced for a hotel lobby.

We did not eat at the Storyteller for dinner, but we had the complimentary breakfast on two mornings. I was nicely surprised by the quality and variety of breakfast choices: fresh fruits, hard boiled and scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, cereals, pastries, oatmeal, make your own waffles, yogurt, regular and oat milk, coffee and a variety of teas.

Overall the breakfast choices were not only extensive, but everything was fresh and replenished in a timely way. The waffles were my favorite. They offered plain or pumpkin spice, both of which were very good, but top them with the Crown Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup and you have a breakfast that rivals any upscale restaurant.

I was particularly impressed by the availability of gluten-free options. When we asked about food ingredients due to my husband’s allergies, Salim was exceedingly helpful and accommodating. He went out of his way to find the information we needed then went above and beyond to provide us with foods we could safely eat, including GF toast, muffins and cookies. I can’t say enough about how warm and friendly Salim and all of the staff were at the Inn...

We came here as a large party of 19 people for Mother's Day brunch. The restaurant is in the brand new hotel, it looks beautiful and modern. The seating is cozy, the bar area is attractive. However, the food was utterly disappointing. It was a typical hotel food, eggs, bacon, muffins, bagels. Waffles and chicken skewers tasted frozen and dry. They advertised prime rib, which they had, but it was not very flavorful. Also, there was no other lunch food, not even any sides, besides a mediocre salad bar. Desserts were these tiny cheesecake bites and a cookie. To add on to the disappointment, the service was nonexistent. We had to go to the bar to get our drinks. Dirty dishes kept piling up in the middle of the table. Nonetheless, they charged 24% tip automatically on the total AFTER tax. This whole experience was very disappointing and if you want to stay in business you need to improve quality of your food...
