Ordered a triple deck of turkey sandwich with extra crispy bacon only to find out the bacon was cooked on one side completely raw on the other. Went back this morning to try to give them another chance to have breakfast extra two egg whites well extra extra extra crispy bacon and Home fries. Also ordered a coffee with milk. My coffee came with half-and-half And just as suspected, the bacon was cooked on one side, not the other, the eggs were cooked on one side, not the other, and the potatoes were burnt on top and uncooked on the bottom and in the middle the border health should come to this place. there is a reason why I have not been back there in over 30 years. I don’t know how they’re still in business. I explained to the waitress this morning that it was there the evening before April was my server she was sweet awesome and is a reason why you come back but the food is not. The border health should pay a visit. This is how people get sick. This is how people have digestive issues. This causes many side effects to people. That’s why they have a board of health to make sure chefs or a.k.a. wannabe cooks have to follow guidelines instead of being lazy if I was running the kitchen and you have multiple tables and limited staff, we always drop baking in a deep fryer to make sure it’s cooked through. If you can’t time your stuff get out of the kitchen you can’t take the heat get out of the kitchen because I know how to run one. Cooked through bacon does not show any fat and it’s not supposed to be pink. The pictures aren’t clear enough. It’s like eating a little strips of ham. I have acid reflux. I have indigestion issues and this got me sick.

There's one thing I know about Long Islander's, they love their diners. Diners stay open late, have friendly servers, great service and offer heaping portions of tasty food. They also serve breakfast all day. I stopped in for a late night meal and was really impressed. I totally enjoyed a hot bowl of Matzah ball soup, an open Turkey sandwich with onion rings and french fries while my better half had a Reuben sandwich with fries. The portions were large and hard to finish. Long live the doggie bag. Start your day with breakfast - featuring omelettes, fruits, cereals, bagel bin, french toast, waffles, pancakes, and griddle specials. Their lunch menu offers sandwiches from the Carving board, Triple Decker Sandwiches, Cold platters, Jumbo burgers, Salads, Wraps, and Airport Specials. Dinner and later features Soups, Appetizers, Open sandwiches, Grecian delights, Italian specialties, Steaks & Chops, Surf & turf combos, Treasures from the sea, and a large choice of side orders. The Airport Diner is on my list, as one of the most popular eateries, conveniently located near the MacArthur airport. Stop in and tell them I sent you. You'll love the food, folks and warm atmosphere.

Went with my husband for lunch. The service was nice and friendly. For drinks we ordered a strawberry daiquiri which was bitter and not sweet (I added some sweet n low and it tasted fine after that) and a Long Island Iced Tea which was strong and had a nice flavor. We had soup and wings for an appetizer. I don’t see why they call them “buffalo” wings if they are just fried wings with no sauce. For $16 it seemed a bit of false advertising as we wouldn’t have ordered them if we knew they were like that. For our mains we had a roast beef sandwich and a eggplant panini. Both were really good. Lots of fries, perfectly rare roast beef which came with a side of mayo that we didn’t even have to ask for. The eggplant panini was delicious with melted mozz and roasted pepper. Overall it was good enough, I wouldn’t go out of my way to go there again but I wouldn’t avoid it either.

I can honestly say I am very disgusted with this place. They are rascist and rude. Our order was messed up 3 times. The food came out and the waiter did not put in our order the right way, he forgot two items that we ordered so two people at the table did not have their food when the “food came out” then the waiter went to the bathroom and came back out without washing his hands and brought our two plates that he originally forgot. Our bill came out to 80.00 for 4 people. We felt like our waiter did not pay attention to us as he should have been and kept messing up our orders. We left a 3 dollar tip when we shouldn’t have left ANYTHING. The service and food quality was horrible. When we proceeded to pay for our order at the end of the meal, a women who was doing paper work rang us up. She told us to “take our 3 dollars back” and that “we were better off not leaving any tip” she then proceeded to say that “we shouldn’t go out to eat if we can not afford it” and that “we should go back to where we came from” mind you we paid 80.00 to cover the cost of the food we ate. I was astonished to have witnessed my friends be discriminated against just because they are minority’s. I believe this women has to be the manager or something of that sort being that the whole time we were eating our meal she was doing paper work at the counter. Shame on you women, very disgusting. I can truly say that I will never be coming here again and I will be telling everyone about my experience here and advise them to not ever come here. I understand waiters have to be tipped but when you don’t do your job correctly more than once, you should appreciate it if you got any tip at all. Before walking out we proceeded to give this women 3 more dollars for her waiter. (Totaling in 6 dollars) They did not deserve that at all. Don’t ever talk down on your customers like they are pesents. What ever happened to good customer service? Just because we were not happy with the service and didn’t tip well does not mean we are broke and poor. That’s one thing but her vocabulary and discrimination and racism is by far the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. Something needs to be done about this. We are in America everyone should be...

6/12/22 Update:

Went there again tonight. Still not great. Asked for meatloaf with brown gravy, not mushroom gravy. It was brought out with mushroom gravy. The waitress apologized and took it back to get fixed. The kitchen staff literally just took the mushrooms off. Thank goodness it wasn't a mushroom allergy, otherwise they would have had a big issue in their hands.

Original: We went here for late night eats. Bonus points for the late closure. We ordered chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, cream of turkey soup, chicken parmigiano, Monte Cristo and cheese ravioli with meat sauce. The only things that were edible from everything that we ordered were the chicken fingers and the cream of turkey soup, which was excellent.

The mozzarella sticks were over fried and HARD. The chicken parm tasted like a big chicken nugget with mashed up tomato on it. There was no flavor. The Monte Cristo's proportions were vastly different... hardly any meat on it whatsoever, and the thousand island dressing was watered down and on the turn. The cheese ravioli was overcooked, so it was mushy and broken open. The "meat sauce" was literally just ground beef cooked in a pan, and then covered with sauce.

The waitress seemed apologetic, but also unsure of how to make the experience better.

The only items taken home were the chicken fingers and the chicken parm, because I can fix it. We left all the other food.

Also of note, the chocolate milk was probably the best...
