Burger Break — Restaurant in Town of Islip

I used Yelp to find something to eat. I saw BURGER BREAK. The pictures look really nice and made the food look delicious.

Driving up to the stand alone restaurant the offered plenty of parking and outside dining which was very attractive and looks relaxing. The young lady was very polite and attentive. She really was helpful as I am a stranger to the menu.

I ordered a burger with double meat and everything on it. That was my mistake it wasn't working it was entirely too much. The plain burger caught my eye but I switched from my original thought. I had onion rings and they were cooked a lot different than what I have had in the past. I also had a hotdog. It came plain but that give you condiments. They hotdog was actually good. I just become messy Marvin when I eat hotdogs.

I should have gotten ice cream. Maybe next time.

I work locally in this area, so I decided to check this place out. All I wanted was a strawberry milkshake. The young kid got a counter, teenager were curly hair, didn't mention to me after the fact that it was buy one get one free shake. This is my first time here, maybe I missed the sign outside. but you would think, that someone would say" hey we want a second one for free". so I mentioned that to him, and he was going to prepare me a second one. he wind up giving both my milkshakes to a family that ordered after me, and they didn't say a thing, and needed to this kid. he basically shrugged it off, like he didn't know what I was talking about. The shakes weren't even that great, and this place lost my business for good. My suggestion, anyone wanting to get better food than this, spend the extra money in go...

My wife and I tried out Burger Break for the first time, today, and overall enjoyed the experience. The staff was very friendly and personable. The service time from order to pickup window was good, too, between 7-10 min. The food was pretty good. The burgers were cooked and assembled well, the onion rings were great, but the fries left something to be desired. They were cooked, but on the soggy side, and could have used more salt. The solution to the fries is easy, the oil just needs to be up to temp and could easily have been the problem for us this time. I will try them again, and see if they are any better.
