Carvel — Restaurant in Town of Islip

First EVER bad experience at a carvel in 40 years! Went in and ordered 2 med sundaes & a box of 6 cups. The girls (2 couldn't handle my order) put about 1tsp of pineapple and a ton of nuts on one, we found three strawberries in the other. The 2nd girl was on the phone "fixing" the register. She couldn't figure out which of the 3 was the fat power wire. I stood there for 5 minutes before I asked the 1st girl if she could add my order on the calculator she was playing with the whole time so I could leave. The girls were both confused. I said punched 5.69 x 2 + cost for pkg of cups + tax %. They both stared at me. 2nd girl asks man on phone if they could do this with register closed. They added my order and said with "2 extra toppings" my order came to $24.11. What?! Toppings is what makes it a sundae. They didn't even offer cherry or whip cream. Will never go back. Disgusted...

I ordered a special ice cream cake on a Wednesday for my moms birthday to be ready for Saturday at 2pm (an hour before the party). I sat on the phone with an employee for 10 minutes going through all the special details that we wanted for the cake. We hung up the phone. When I sent my brother to pick the cake up, they said nobody ordered a cake and they did not have it. This was obviously infuriating to me as I knew I ordered it and had 40 people waiting on me at the party. We had to settle for a pre made cake since we had to rush and it wasn’t anything like we wanted. They weren’t helpful at all and they still made us pay for it. The girl behind the counter asked if we were ready and when we said yes she scowled at us like she couldn't be bothered. Asked for the special cone with sprinkles on the edge and soft serve ice cream with sprinkles. There was no height to the ice cream, it was flush with the top of the cone!

I go here ever week and order the same thing and she chinched on the ice cream like I was taking money out of her pocket! This is the last time I go here , there are too many other Carvel's around to be treated this poorly and stingy by people who don't...
