Central Pizza — Restaurant in Town of Islip

An honest and unbiased review. I was driving through the area on a job call. I saw the lunch special sign and walked in. The sign said $4.50 but it’s actually $5, no problem. I got my order and the pizza was good but it was a little over greasy ( inferior ingredients I guess) so I patted it down a bit with my Napkin. Slices are decent size and if they like you they’ll cut it even bigger apparently. That leads me to customer service. I noticed that the gentleman up front , I’m assuming he’s the owner because he’s in most of the pictures, is not very friendly with the younger crowd. He wasn’t too talkative with the school age kids or anyone around my age. He was very talkative with all others who came in and looked over 60 years old. Now that could be that he feels more in common with them but it still doesn’t warrant being cold and un-welcoming to all Others. Overall if you’re looking for a cheap lunch special .. you get what you pay for. Don’t be offended if the guy upfront is rude and you’re under 60 years old. Remember I said LUNCH SPECIAL! Everything else is over priced and looks like it’s been sitting there for years. Recently went back and things have changed for the better. The hero's get a thumbs up now along with the chicken parm dinner. I was surprised to see the amount of food i got for the money and it tasted good. Owner still a bit cold but ehh its just how some people are. So im changing my original 2 star rating to a 4. Price ,product and big portions make it worth the pit stop...

I used to be a big fan ordered on the slice app a lot but then I ordered in person when it was not available on the app and I will not be returning they are very unsanitary no one wears gloves ever the guy taking my order answered his cell phone from his pocket took a call while slicing up the pizza then proceeded to get the toppings for the pizza bare handed digging in the container and then assemble the slice no gloves never even washed his hands I had already paid and then when he handed me the pizza and I wanted to put my garlic and red pepper flakes on it the pizza was cold meatball slice was a joke he took a meatball cut it up and slapped it on the slice with a dash of extra cheese as a regular here I’m completely disgusted and turned off of the place won’t...

Owner rips ppl off. $4.50 lunch special is $5.00. I ordered that and a beef pattie. Each item was taxed INDIVIDUALY and then I got taxed on the ENTIRE CHECK, plus GOT TAXED on the beef pattie. When I asked the owner to explain, he refused. Don't come here. Save your money. Ppl say this pizza taste good? REALLY??!!Are you guys family??!!
