**I had to come back with addendum to my original post a year ago & changed my ratings. The second time I went I got food poisoned & notice that the workers were not wearing gloves, which is crucial in this COVID disease world. With that said, I will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!!!
NYAM SUM Jamaican Cuisine Sorry to inform you that I did not ‘Like’ it…I LOVED IT. Very flavorful, I even have some leftovers for dinner tomorrow after Church. People get there to Nyam Sum you will not be disappointed. The place is clean & the lady who served me was so sweet. The only complaint I have is that they are pricey for the food they give.
5/28/24 - Now this place is going to come & post a comment to mine (as if I would eat there ever again, are you serious. Now you've pissed me off where I will contact the Health Dept. myself to find out the accuracy of your statement. (Even speaking to your Owner, he stated that gloves were required). I'm not the only one that got food poisoned from this tacky place and you bet I will never & have not since, eat...
Read moreToday was my second time trying this Jamaican restaurant. First time was about 6 weeks ago I had the oxtail and curry goat definitely very tasty and tender. Today I returned and got their jerk chicken witch was very decent there was a family of 5 eating in their dinning room seems like they were happy with their meals. The gentlemen that helped me with my food today was very kind. He suggested for me to review them but I have nothing negative to say both visits were good food was great. Prices are fair I think this place will do good overall being that there isn’t much Jamaican places around. Some people say the food isn’t seasoned good enough in my opinion it was perfect amount of spice! I don’t like salty foods anyways. Their rice was good, cabbage was perfectly made and jerk sauce was a good touch to their jerk chicken. I do recommend people to try this spot, I will definitely...
Read moreI’m only giving two stars because the lady working was really polite and attentive. The city girl in me expected otherwise since I’m used to Jamaica Ave but she was delightful. The food though was a waste of my money, time and space in my belly. I got the oxtail with white rice, stewed cabbage and sweet plantains. I tasted the plantains first and from then I knew what was to come. They were thin and barely fried. The oxtail had no flavor to it and I could only taste the oil in the gravy sauce. Even the white rice was bland. I wish I could even say that they used just salt and pepper. I really could not taste either one. I literally mixed in left over Zesty sauce from Burger King to eat it. I can’t speak for any other dish there. However, I feel like if your most wanted dish from the Jamaican cuisine has no flavor then I’m sure nothing else will...
