Peralta Brentwood Deli — Restaurant in Town of Islip

In the mood for some deli food and always pass this place on the way home. I don't know if because it was late that the quality and the care wasn't there but ultimately I found a hair deep into my dish. We order via Uber and it took about 45 to get to us which is fine. My platter of chicken rice beans with potato salad was okay. Flavor not there for me personally but not horrible. But my steak dish with shrimp although presented nicely, the steak was extremely tough and salty. Shrimp lacked flavor and rubbery taste to it and mixed in with my rice was a lovely white hair. Love this spot we’ve been ordering takeout from here for a few years. They have great Dominican food and awesome chimis sandwiches. My favorite is the bandeja de $50 with pechurina (fried chicken strips), chuleta (fried pork chops), Tostones (plantains), fried batata and longaniza (Dominican sausage) its fire.
