Pita & Pizza — Restaurant in Town of Islip

Pita you are a community business that I've been supporting for years.. You've been lacking customer service for sometime now but, this is the ultimate disrespect to my family of 10 that have had your back for so long...I called into your Washington ave location at 9:00pm .. a young answered she asked Delivery or Pickup.. I stated delivery.. her exact words were "ok your going to have to give me a minute" I said no problem take your time.. I was on hold for about 7 minutes...an employee returned back to the line so I immediately started to give her my address..she interrupted me and said we are not doing anymore deliveries..I said ok but, because I wasn't sure..I said weren't you the person that put me on hold and asked did I want delivery.. she started to mumble and said uh and HUNGUP on me..Just like that! I couldn't believe it..Now I have a great respect for service workers and supporting mom and pop shops in my community is a practice in my home.. So know this conversation did not call for anyone to be hung up on... What is going on..you walk into your business..your greeted with an attitude on a young lady face..and this has happen many times..It's like your bothering her..Now I know you have received several reviews about your customer service but, it doesn't seem like you care.. years ago you could smell the food..walk in...be greeted by the man on the grill with so much joy..now your service sucks..So much that I'm taking time out my day to tell you about it.. I can't support this anymore and I hope others follow in the community.. Your taking advantage of this neighborhood with this type of behaviour and I'll advise everyone to stop supporting your establishments until you fix it.. You can start by checking your caller ID my number 631-365-**..I called in at exactly 9:00pm..find out which employee HUNG UP on me..because she did it for no reason at all.. I could imagine how many others she treated with such blatant disrespect..This community deserves better and it's time you the Owner take some responsibility for the lack of service your employees are providing to this town.. I thank you in advance and I truly hope I could remove this...

I have been going here for over a year due to ingnorant convenience. This place has gone from bad to worst, it's rundown, the food always looks dry and old, the service has often been terrible. In the summer and spring,I have always seen flies, even on the open aired garlic knots, really!! I am always disappointed when I order, always! Ohh... If anyone took the time to give a review of 3 stars or better, I'm certain it's either an employee, friend, or family of the place, because this place is too washed up with bad food, bad service, and if you don't believe me, walk inside, it's dirty and...

The rotisserie chicken is good if you happen to get there right after they make it.

One thing that makes me hesitant to come back despite grabbing lunch here multiple times in the past is the blatant disregard for the possibility spreading Covid.

The woman serving us lunch had her mask way below her nose. The other workers handling food or near the food were not wearing masks at all! No, thank you.
