The Last Resort — Restaurant in Town of Islip

Happy accident. We were supposed to go to the Albatross but they were closed. Went here hoping for the best. Everything was excellent. I highly recommend the clam chowder, grilled romaine and the curry snapper (pictured). Even the blooming onion, something I would never normally order.. was fantastic. Somehow the blooming onion wasn’t greasy at all. Everything was super flavorful without being over salted - a rare thing. Had an amazing meal here last weekend. The $1 wings are fantastic, I could’ve kept ordering them forever. I loved the whole vibe of the restaurant too. Our server, Cassandra, was super nice and clearly loves her job. I think I learned more about her life in my one meal than I know about some of my friends who I've known for 5+ years. Kudos to her, she can carry on a conversation forever. Definitely coming back for the wings, maybe I’ll bring a notebook next time to keep up with...

This was our first time visiting Ocean Beach and we found this restaurant on Google searches for good restaurants. The food is really good.
