One of my favorite places to grab a bite and to study! Also, a wonderful place to bring visiting family/friends due to it's unique concept. It's a bit far from main campus, so it can be a long walk for older people, but having a car definitely eliminates the issue. If you're curious, here's some fun things I've hear about the dairy bar: The ice cream Cornell produces isn't technically recognized as ice cream by the FDA because the fat content is so high (that's what makes it taste so good!) Cornell dairy (ice cream and milk) is served in all of the dining halls Cornell dairy created Big Red Refuel - a chocolate milk with 15 grams of protein. Perfect for athlete's after practice, lifting, or competition. Somewhere in Ithaca Cornell has their own cows, so everything is produced locally. I've heard tours of the diary facilities are offered, but I've never gone. If you take a specific food science class (I'm not sure which one), there is an ice cream flavor competition. If your team creates a winning ice cream, it will be sold at the dairy bar...

For delicious and fresh ice cream, i can’t complain about the prices! It’s actually very reasonable and even more when you get the pint ones.

The selection is great because it’s a good mixture of basic ones and innovative flavours. I really can’t remember the name of the flavour I got but the base was açai and it’s mixed with swirls of fudge and coconut flakes. I actually loved it because it was so unique and delicious.

The space is very clean and well kept. If I went here for school, I’d definitely love to grab an ice cream and study because it’s so spacious and bright.

I guess one complaint is the staff seem kinda snappy? I kind of get it though because that’s how it is for most university facilities that are run by students, but we were clearly tourists and it would’ve been nice if they were patient and welcoming because we were new to this!

Otherwise, I’d still highly recommend and I’m definitely coming back when I have the chance to. Really want to try the ice cream sandwich! (Which is in the freezer along...

As this is located in my school (I graduated last summer tho), hopefully, this review is not biased but I will always say that I lovvveeee knowing that Dairy Bar exists until today. Not only serve ice creams as their main game, but they also sell to-go food boxes like salad, sandwiches, etc., Dairy Bar’s authentic cow milk (pls do try the chocolate low-fat one – I’d kill to fly there and buy a box of it), even fresh coffee and non-coffee beverages, snacks, yogurt, and others.

But let’s delve more into the ice cream, my strong players will always be Triple Chocolate Plate and Bavarian Raspberry Fudge. The raspberry one was introduced by one of my Big Red Besties as I’m not a fan of anything with berries (except the real berries), but she insisted I to try a spoon and I was immediately falling in love. I miss you Cornell (never expect I’d say this out loud!). Hope I can...

Ready for your next favorite road trip? Sit back and relax while OurBus does the driving, and let's head to Ithaca, New York! What If I told you that you could get the perks of a small city AND the beauty of the country. That's what you'll find in Ithaca, New York. (ad) And the best way to get there is OurBus. We've compiled our favorite spots to plan your own trip, because this town is a must see! Beautiful places, great food, and SO much to do it's hard to pick just a few! Here's what we suggest for a 2-3 day trip to Ithaca, NY. 🚍 Start your road trip with @rideourbus. Hundreds of stops all over the East Coast, OurBus is the easiest (and comfiest!) way to travel. Free WIFI and charging ports, large reclining seats, clean onboard restrooms, and complimentary water. Start your trip by relaxing, not worrying about driving! 🌊 150+ waterfalls- Our favorites were Buttermilk Falls, Ithaca Falls, Cascadilla Gorge, and Taughannock Falls. @VisitIthaca 🛝 Playgrounds- @IthacaChildrensGarden (hands on sensory play with an anarchy zone!) and Stewart Park (accessible playground with beautiful views of the Cayuga Lake) @friendsofstewartpark 🏨 Hotel- Ithaca Marriott Downtown on the Commons. Our room was not only gorgeous AND dog friendly, we had fantastic views of the city and the staff was SO nice. Plus the hotel was within easy walking distance from the OurBus stop, dozens of restaurants, shops, and even waterfalls. @ithacamarriott 🍔 Restaurants- From pizza to Tibetan food, they have lots to choose from! Ithaca Ale House, Red's Place, Cornell Dairy Bar, and Monks on the commons were some of our favorites. @ithacaalehouse @reds_place @monksonthecommons @cornell_dairy 🧪Sciencenter! My kids LOVED it there and happily played there for hours. ⛴ Discover Cayuga Lake Land and Lake boat tour. Beautiful boat ride with local history, guided hike to the waterfalls WITH geology facts and a chance to study the lake plankton under a microscope. This was SO cool for the whole family! @discovercayugalake Ready to book your trip? Head to the link in my bio to book your next trip with Ourbus.
