My husband, kids and I ate dinner in Valatie tonight. Our order was prepared quickly and accurate. There was a man that came in and ordered from the kiosk. He was clearly disgruntled coming in. One young worker was waiting for his food on his break and this man told him he had to go wait somewhere else and out of his sight. The young man didn't argue and went in the back. The man proceeded to yell at the young man on the counter (i found out his name is Michael). He yelled at him until his got his food. I was getting nervous that I might have to call the police, the man was so irate. Through the whole thing Michael stayed calm, rational and collective. He did all he could to get the man his food so he could leave. Having spent years in retail and now being an office manager myself, I was impressed with how these young men handled themselves. Many people would have felt provoked to enter a shouting match or go to blows. These young men avoided conflict and conducted themselves very professionally. The young man that went in the back should not have had to, but he didn't want to cause problems for anyone else. After the man left I felt compelled to check and make sure they were OK. It is commendable that these young men put the best interest of the restaurant and patrons first and handled the situation with integrity. I have to say in addition to this amazing display our food was fresh, cooked well and the dining room and restrooms were extremely clean. Great thanks from myself to them and the rest...
Read moreI placed a mobile order for the first time tonight. I ordered a bacon double quarter pounder meal, got home, ate the fries first, started the burger, found that they forgot the bacon. I went back to ask them to fix it, and the guy at the register was nice and friendly. His supervisor, however, was quite the opposite. She took my burger and threw it out (waste of food, but understandable) and her solution was to give me a single quarter pounder, but still forgot the bacon, which I didn't realize until I got out to the car and checked. So I went back in, and at this point, she was clearly done with me. She tossed a box with bacon in it on the counter, as if to say, "here's your bacon, leave," and went back to dealing with the drive-thru customers. I told her it was a single when I ordered a double, and she said "That was over an hour ago, I made you a new sandwich, I'm not making another one." First of all, it was 40 minutes from the time of email receipt. Second, I didn't realize there was a statute of limitations on getting an order right. So she refused to correct my order, and I ended up paying for a double bacon quarter pounder, and walked away with a single quarter pounder with a side of bacon.
I realize working fast food can be stressful, but that is no excuse for acting so informational and refusing to correct an order, regardless of how much time passed. I was even polite in spite of...
Read moreI get breakfast here embarrassingly often, and this is by far the best fast food place I’ve ever been to. I order eggs and sausage and a drink and by the time I pay and get to the window, usually only one car in front of me (if any!) they have the food ready to go. I rarely stop to get my food more than 15 seconds. It seriously adds 2 minutes, maybe 3 if there’s several cars, to my commute. Two minutes to pull into the lot, place the order, pay, get the food, then leave the lot. Incredible. I’ve gotten lunch and dinner here too plenty of times and never once has the order been wrong, and I always order my burgers with lots of modifications. And it’s a small detail, but they ALWAYS give me a fork without me having to ask when I order my bunless foods (wheat allergy). Clearly I need a fork to eat what I’ve basically turned into a salad, and yet the various other fast food places around the Albany area (and yes even the ones outside of Albany county where there isn’t a plastic-forks-are-illegal policy) don’t give me a fork, sometimes even after I’ve asked for one. So, just all around great staff here. I wish this staff could train all the other fast food places in the area to be...
