Robert's Mexican Restaurant & Cafe — Restaurant in Town of Kinderhook

My GF and I had stopped at Golden Harvest Farm to get a few things that the season has to offer. After that we started to debate where we should go for Lunch. A lot of the same places popped into our conversation. Finally I said I wanted to try somewhere different the only stipulation the GF said was no Asian (we just had it the day before). We decided to go to a Mexican restaurant, I Googled "BEST MEXICAIN RESTAURANT NEAR ME" Roberts came up as one of the top 3, was the closest and had a 4.4 Star review. Off we went (literally 3-5 minutes from Golden Harvest). We walked in were seated almost immediately. Waitress was friendly enough, brought us complimentary salsa and homade chips. The menu is relatively large while not being overbearing. It took us a while to decide what we wanted the entire time our Waitress watched to make sure we weren't waiting for her but she was not intrusive. As soon as we were ready to order she came over. We placed our order Burito Gigantica for me and Pork tostadas for the GF. The food came really quick was hot and super tasty! My Burito was exactly as stated GIGANTICA!! Super fresh and tasty! Oh my God, it's been a long time since I came to Birrieria La Piedad Roberta's to eat my favorite dish Huevos Rancheros. What a delicious Mexican flavor for me, done very traditionally. Doña Ana and her staff are very kind and attentive, and the Doñitas and Doñitos in the kitchen cooking so delicious food, they make you come back to this delicious place. I have had the blessing of going to many states to work and do my residence hours as a Doctor of Natural Medicine and eat in many restaurants, but the flavor, friendliness, humbleness and cleanliness that you receive in this delicious restaurant is exceptional. It is my number one place to come to eat one of my favorite dishes, huevos rancheros - menudo - posole and other delicious dishes. Update: Tried dine in again and had a wonderful experience with the waitress. She was very attentive and did not mess up the order or forget any food which was my past experience both dine in and takeout. I ordered a special and it was so delicious. I highly recommend this place!

First experience: Really good food!! but, not the best service when dining in. It took 45 minutes from ordering to receiving food. I even ordered soup and it came at the time the food came. I don’t mind waiting but it wasn’t very busy. They’re new, so I’m not expecting over the top well oiled machine service from them. For now I will do pick up orders.
