The Cremeria — Restaurant in Town of Kirkland

Here at this gelato shop, I cried happy tears. Sitting in mid June on a yellow chair eating hazelnut and chocolate gelato.

I believe that it is part of the human experience that every once in awhile our lives catch us off guard and we are hit with a sense of overwhelm. Not an overwhelm in a bad way, but rather an overwhelming sense of the gravity of the choices we have made to bring to where we are. It is a comforting sense of overwhelm, that lets us know that because every choice we have made brought us here, that change is not so bad.

I am a senior is high school, and over the past year I have felt this overwhelm a lot. Life seems to have surprised me with its speed, it unrelenting and beautiful ability to change everything, and at the same time change nothing. But it was here at this gelato shop following a tour at Hamilton College that I felt this speed the most intensely I ever have. There was something in the rich gelato, in the softness of the evening air, in my love of the college up the hill that let me know I was changed, and I will continue to change.

In that moment, with my salty tears adding an unexpected flavor to my sweet gelato, the puzzle pieces seem to fit. I could see my future strewn out in front of me, leading me to a million different places, but I knew that in each path I would return to this moment, to this place, and see the puzzle come together again.

My wife and I stumbled upon The Cremaria last year and have fallen in love with it. Everyone working there is knowledgeable and friendly. The gelato is perfection; the flavors are creative and fun. The shop is inviting and impeccably clean.

Twice recently, we have had family gatherings of 10-12 people. We have picked up 5-8 pints and half pints of different flavors (bring a cooler!) and served them for dessert. People can create any combination they want, and with the variety that the Cremaria offers, there's a combination of flavors that's right for everyone (allergies are clearly marked on each container, too). It's the perfect dessert.

I'm confident we'll continue to visit frequently, and I have no doubt we'll continue to get great service and...

The Cremeria did an amazing job with gelato for our wedding at Dibbles. When we went to our Dibbles tasting, we thought we were just going to try the gelato and then go on our way. But once we tasted it, we knew we had to have it for our wedding. The Cremeria did a great job setting up our wedding and coordinating with Dibbles. They were helpful via email throughout the planning process. The only thing we regret is not going up sooner to get the gelato at our reception as one of the flavors was gone when we went up.
