I am not a person who post reviews. However, I feel compelled to honestly say this is the only place we gladly did not leave the waitress a tip. In my entire life. The waitress we endured and two women running the restaurant are clearly sick of vacationers. The wait was not long at all. The tables were not full. However, after being seated, we waited 45 minutes to place our order. I'm assuming short staffed. One of my daughters ordered an item on the menu. The waitress brought out something completely different. The rest of ours were correct. Mistakes happen. We are not unreasonable people. We brought it to her attention and she went back in with the item and immediately came back out with the same plate and said it would take 25 minutes to make the item again as she had ordered. She did not offer to bring her something else. We had reservations to go white water rafting and we were already running late due to the extended wait time there. My daughter tried to eat it but only had 2 small bites with no time to stop anywhere else now. She left the item almost completely as she received it. They refused to remove the item from our bill. The waitress said they were willing to correct the mistake but we would not agree to wait the 25 extra minutes. Her exact words were "my waitress said she went back in the kitchen to change it for that little kid but you told her not to." My daughter is 15...if you're going on vacation with a teen girl you know tons of (unasked for) cheese in her omelette and no ham (asked for) can ruin the day:) And it's never fun rafting with a starving teen. Perhaps they should remember the vacationers are what keep them in business. Not everyone is looking to take advantage. Otherwise, had a wonderful time in Lake George. This place was not a...
Read moreHello , I took my Family to the Lone Bull restaurant for the first time during our stay in lake George 7, 2025. It was around 9:00am in the morning with only a few families dinning . The server was Shannon who asked us half way through our meal , How's everything and I'm not rushing you but I was wondering if you would like to take a cup of coffee with you that meanwhile is on our table already . So I said that would be nice thanks . When the waitress Shannon gave me the bill she charged me for another coffee without telling me first . I could have sat at my table longer enjoying my coffee but she offered me a container for the coffee I already paid for . meanwhile the restaurant was 3/4 empty . Yes the food was good but I feel this was a very unprofessional !
Dear owner of the Lone Bull , I appreciate you replying back to my first review of your restaurant but I would like to clear thing up . I never asked your waitress Shannon for a coffee to go . She ask me if I would like to take the coffee on our table that I was drinking already in a to - Go cup ! . So I hope this clears thing up for you and maybe retaining your employees who work one day a week or seven days a week so other customers don't get charged for something they never asked for ....
Read moreReally awful place. Ignore the fake reviews from staff and soft through youâll fine the real reviews. We debated leaving after the waitress took the order and we should have. Rude and unpleasant - zero flexibility. There is no kids menu here so theyâll charge your toddler full price and also refuse to tweak the set menus to suit. Coffee pot is put on your table and charge per head so if there is 10 of you on the table, itâs a $40 pot! Finally, when the food actually arrived, it was truly awful. Cold pancakes, inedible âhome friesâ which were fried onions and burnt cold potato bits. The eggs were flat inedible rubber chewy things. Poached eggs were watery and undercooked. The steak ordered rare came out burnt to a crisp on one side and well done leather. Just truly awful - oh and they know the service is very poor because they treat themselves to adding 20% gratuity before tax and before they give you the bill. This goes to the house, not the waitress. Itâs also very expensive - $65 for myself and a toddler for...
