We had a truly stellar experience at Lusardi's (of Larchmont) last Saturday evening. The taste of the Rollatine Montanara was simply exceptional, a perfect blend of cheese, pasta, mushrooms, spinach, and spices. My wife had an outstanding Pollo Ubriaco - I tried some and never tasted such good chicken breast in my life. The waiter (tall man with glasses) was very attentive without being overbearing. Recommend eating the tiramisu with gelati because, although excellent, the tiramisu is not "cold-style."
We were very graciously welcomed by a gentleman who may have been Mario Fava himself (couldn't tell because of the mask, but I believe it was him).
My great-aunt, who had the finest tastes in dining, frequently chose Lusardi's for family gatherings. I was always thrilled to join. It's the only restaurant where I order pure pasta dishes because they're always stellar. The service has always been impeccable.
I was excited to bring my wife last Saturday night, and now she too is looking forward to many happy nights out...
Read moreThis was a perfect meal everything from the menu to the wait staff to the ambiance to the drink menu to the quality of the food I found everything to be perfect. My father's favorite meal is chicken scarpariello on the bone and it's not very common to find that anymore at restaurants without requesting it in advance this place has it done two different ways and even went as far as to make him a chicken scapariello on the bone with just dark meat just the way he likes it I had the gnocchi with the four cheese sauce which was amazing my fiance had the tortellini which was to die for and my mother had one of the chef specials chicken meals which was incredible I can't even describe what was in it the taste was close to heavenly. Thank you so much to the owner and the staff there I know prices have been going up recently and a lot of restaurants have suffered because of that this place has made sure that it's quality of food customer care and care of its employees remains it's number one...
Read moreWent for the lunch prefix. I think depending on your selections might determine your rating. We both had fried artichokes. Nice idea, but chokes over fried. I had pasta bolognese, lacking in sauce, needed extra flavor. My entree was eggplant parm. If I had ordered this from a deli, I might not have been surprised to receive one thin slice of eggplant covered in sauce with a square piece of cheese!!! This from a fancy Italian establishment charging $36.50. Are you kidding me? Management should be ashamed. My friend had spinach rollatini and the Bronzini in a lemon sauce with green beans. Said it was very good. Would I try it again? Maybe.. just will be more careful about what I order. For $36.50 I could get several pounds...
