The Ice Cream Sandwich — Restaurant in Town of Marcellus

The breakfast sandwiches are a wonderful walkable treat on a bright and sunny Saturday morning. The two ladies who work the weekends are the nicest people. One week they were getting berated by a customer for the sidewalk outside smelling like cannabis and they handled it extremely well. On Monday I went in for lunch around 2PM. I ordered the Mustang on sourdough and tried to strike up a conversation with the guy at the register but he didn’t seem interested in talking however it didn’t bother me. Minimum eye contact, hunched posture. Also something for the staff to be aware of: I could see you on your phones when walking between the cash register and ice cream window. Some people may find that unprofessional. Now back to the sandwich, the pastrami and gouda were a good combination. I was a bit surprised in the lacking simplicity of the sandwich. For $13.75, I feel like there could be something additional incorporated into the sandwich that would work well with pastrami, gouda, onion, and mustard. I greatly enjoy their breakfast sandwiches but I would probably skip lunch here as their specialty sandwiches are fairly simple. I have not tried the...

Been here twice now for ice cream and I have to say, it's somewhat disappointing. First time I got soft serve and it's fine, but Marcellus lanes, right up the street, is much better for soft serve. Today, I decided to give them a second go. Settled on their namesake - an ice cream sandwich, after all that's the name of the place, right? Disappointed to find that the ice cream sandwiches they sell are brought in pre-packaged stuff. I was hoping more for something made on site. The packaged ice cream sandwich was fine, just unexpected.

So overall, I wouldn't go here for ice cream. Many better options in the area. Maybe go for lunch though as their food items are probably solid (however, since I've only had ice cream here, I can't say for sure). Place is clean and the staff was...

I love it here. One of my favorite places for breakfast, lunch, and where we go for ice cream. The breakfast sandwhiches and the lunch Soup and sandwiches are good and the staff is super friendly. My only disappointment though was the $6 chicken quesadilla. I dont think i want to pay that much for just a single slice of deli chicken breast and cheese on tortilla shells which also didnt come with sour cream and or salsa.
