Salvatore's Old Fashioned Pizzeria — Restaurant in Town of Mendon

Salvatore's is a small town hole in the wall pizzeria that serves delicious, quality pizza. I popped in a couple of times while working at the PGA Championship in Rochester. I stayed locally and needed some quick food right after work and this joint was more than happy to oblige.

They make all of their pizza fresh and their toppings are quality and delicious. I ordered their supreme and another (which I can't quite remember the name) that used a delicious Alfredo sauce as it's base and was topped with chicken, red peppers, and mozzarella cheese.

The locale feels like the type of place where you would work if you were 15 but had a good head on your shoulders. The staff was young, but polite and professional. They took my order, cooked it, boxed it up, and I took it back to where I was staying.

Overall, quite an enjoyable experience. This pizzeria is a bit more pricey than your Dominoes or Pizza Hut but you can taste the quality in the pizza.

They also offer wings (which I had and were pretty decent), salads (huge and covered in some delicious toppings, the dressing was pretty good too), and sandwiches (I have nothing to say about the sandwiches, but they were on the menu).

Most disrespectful location I’ve ever been to entered in the information to have food delivered and because the computer populated an address and an old phone number when I have an email that says different I get so disrespected told her I can come pick up a pizza that’s almost an hour old But they won’t make me a fresh one and then it’s my fault They said they’ll refund my money but mind you I placed the order at 7:30 and at 10 to 9 I call them asking them what’s going on? They had no intentions of refunding my money unless I called them. This location is by far the worst. I called the neighboring location that stayed open past normal business hours just to make me a fresh pizza and earn my business. This location needs to be shut down. I have had nothing but nightmare problems for years. It’s sickens me to be cursed at by staff members. It’s sickens me that you think that is an appropriate way to talk to a customer and then complain when a customer wants you to do the right thing, but somehow the customer is always wrong at this location. Horrible, horrible horrible do your business somewhere else like the Avon location? Or at the saloon in Scottsville, do not go...

I tried to place an order through their website as I usually do... my credit card was charged although I did not get an order confirmation email as usual... I then called the store was told that their credit card processing was on the fritz and they assured me after refusing to give me my food even though the money was removed from my card!!! They assured me that it was just a pre-authorization and the money would go back to my card automatically!!! the money did not go back to my car!!! it was fully charged!!! this store stole my money!!! they lied to me about it just being a pre-authorization, they refused to give me my food for the money taken, then fully charged my card without giving me any food and to top it off then hung up on me...and the past several orders I placed with them they have been out of what I ordered and I was told I was getting a credit one of those times I had to call back three times in order to secure that credit because it was not placed on my account like it was supposed to had you sit on hold every single time when usually I deal with the website so I don't have to call and deal with...
