We were here twice during the July 4th weekend, so understandably, the place was extremely busy and crowded. The first time we visited was for lunch. We waited for 25 minutes for our food, while orders were completed for many who arrived after us. When we inquired about our order (three sandwiches, two iced teas), it seemed they had forgotten about us. Our second visit was for breakfast, and the wait for two sandwiches and a pastry was a little shorter - but they forgot to put the pastry in the bag and we had to go back for it.
The woman who took our order both times was extremely rude. She was impatient and unfriendly, and clearly just with us. Very off-putting.
On the bright side, the weather was beautiful and it was pleasant to sit outside on their patio. We were surrounded by nice potted flowers, and there was French music playing. OUR FOOD WAS OUTSTANDING, and the indigo iced tea was unique and delicious. We highly recommend their ham and cheese croissants and breakfast sandwiches. The croissants are reminiscent of our time in Paris. Hoping to sample more of the menu next time...
Read moreMe and my wife were doing a "foliage drive" thru the Catskills mountain. We stopped at this Cafe' as it seemed nice and was the first one we saw :D and I was looking for an afternoon espresso. As Italian, 9 times over 10 I end up regretting ordering espresso but this time I understood it was going to be right we I got the question: paper or ceramic cup! The coffee was delicious but the true hidden gems are pastries and chocolate. You can read the story of the owner and her husband framed in the store.... you will understand why pastries are so special! But do not miss the packaged chocolate (they make it)....it is so good (I tried the PB&J Keto chocolate bar) and I am going to order a truck now waiting for a next visit :). You should consider driving up to here for coffee, pastry, chocolate and I guess also brunch...
Read more100th review!!! Wow. So excited to review this place. It’s funny how we’ve gone through town and missed this gem. Ok for the record, we got a few things to go. Oatmilk latte, was exceptional. If you know oatmilk can get a bit heavy and they had such a great espresso to cream blend. Cortado, nice bold taste and perfect amount of cream. Not too much. Now that pastry though!!! The strawberry cake. Oh em gee! Soft inside, crispy top layer, and loads of flavor. And the flavor came in layers. I don’t know how to describe it but you have to have it The atmosphere was inviting and trendy. Small groups of people added liveliness to the place. And all in all it just seems as if they care about their business. I’ll stop in every time I drive...
