Well what a gem of a find on a quiet Sunday evening in Margaretville. Most places were close including the Binnekill Tavern where we had planned to eat. The outside must be beautiful on a sunny summer evening but it was the warm, welcoming, classy, simple but perfectly appointed restaurant that drew us in on this chilly evening. A superb selection of wines by glass, carafe or bottle and beautiful Balkan style small plates and main meals. We went for the Balkan Platter and it was superb and the hosts were charming. The town was empty but this gem of restaurant was full and had a lovely atmosphere. Congratulations on getting it so right 👍

Just wow! Absolutely blown away by Oda, you have to stop by and try them. Not only will you not find a better dining experience in the entire area, but I’ve actually been all through the Balkans and this is better than some of the meals I had in those countries! Just floored at the quality of the food. The staff is extremely welcoming and friendly, their wine selection is really unique and well put together, and the prices were very reasonable. This is the sort of place that would have reservations booked out a month in advance near the city. Do yourself a favor and check them out. I hope Oda is here to stay for a long time!

The best food I’ve had in a long time. I’m sure I’m not alone in feeling increasingly disappointed in the experience of dining out, especially in NYC. It took me coming to Oda in Margaretville to feel excited about eating food in an establishment again. This place is heaven sent. Everything on the menu is great. You can tell that Noli really cares about the quality and presentation of the food you are served. And Jack the bartender is always a pleasure. Also, I always feel great/healthy after eating their food- something you really can’t say about many restaurants. I love you, Oda. Thank you for everything.

Luckily this was right across from where we were staying because it was such a great experience! I hadn’t specifically had Balkan food before, but a lot of it looked similar to Greek food- which is a part of my roots so I knew it was a must try situation. We sat on the patio and tried a bunch of different appetizers, a pear soda and a hazelnut custard dessert. Everything was top notch. The waitress was amazing, friendly, had great recommendations not only for the restaurant but some local trails to check out and even a breakfast spot (shout out to Mornings) we were even able to see some traditional music the next day as they set up a little festival in their parking lot to share the culture and make it fun! If you don’t stop by here when you are in town, you’re...

Sunday June 30th we celebrated our 46th wedding anniversary with our children and grandchildren, all 9 of us. We sat outside with a full patio of customers served by one person - Jack. Needless to say Jack was beyond fantastic, smiled his entire way through the night. We sampled pretty much everything on the menu and each dish was as good as or better than the other.

As for the wines we all tasted something different and I had the orange wine from Croatia, Slovenia was represented, a Blaufrankish/Gamay tasted, a Pet Nat, and a few Rose's. All were excellent.

The food was well prepared so the kitchen receives and A+ and the customer face served by Jack earned a A++. Bravo well done and for me its all 5's...
