Little Brown Jug — Restaurant in Town of Minoqua

A friend said we had to go here during our recent trip up north. It seemed to be nestled off the beaten path in town. There were cars lined on the side of the road when we pulled up. There was a terrible storm that came through earlier and no one had power. Everyone was here! It was cash only but they were open. As soon as I came in the door, the bartender greeted me to see what we wanted. She was friendly and you could tell she liked her job and didn't mind not having power. The bar is small and cozy. My friends agreed that the place had a jazzy Key West vibe. Places like this attract locals and provide optimal people watching. We will definitely be back and recommend this hidden gem to others. I hope the owners read this they give the staff that worked on Sunday 6/11/17 a huge pat on the back for a fine job of serving so many people with a great attitudes...

Terrible experience. Bartender was a total Jerk. Stopped here on a small bar brawl with a group, was told I was annoying and needed to hurry up when trying to decide what shot to buy the birthday guest. Then I went to close my tab (which was written on a post-it note) I was charged $37 for 4 bottles on beer. Had my Fiancé go and ask how much a bottle of beer is, said we got 4, the bartender said 4 beers is $37 and refused to say the actual price. Would not...

🎶small town, saturday night🎶 I used to go to this spot when I was a Lil deer hunter and our base camp was a couple doors to the east. The impression as a "40+ year old dive bar enthusiast" [lol] was that the tender was great and charming, the setting is pretty iconic, with the dollars everywhere.
