Artuso & Sons Bakery — Restaurant in Town of Mount Pleasant

So been here alot before i started writing reviews. In The Summer during the Thornwood car show, my parents and i can be seen eating their italian ices, which are very good. They also have cakes, pastries, and i believe i tasted my first almond horn from here, and it was good! Also once brought a pint to use for my 18th/Graduation party a few years ago. Inside, they do have chairs and tables where one can sit if they want. Went here on Saturday August 10th 2024 while at the Thornwood car show with my parents. We were there to get italian ices. Staff was pleasant, and asked what we wanted right away. I got a Cotton Candy Italian ice, and my mom got lemon, and my dad got chocolate. We paid with cash, as they charge for using a credit card. Received an apple pie from this bakery. It was disgusting! Apples were like concrete and the pie crust was hard, slimy & tasteless. Have had platters of cookies gifted to me from this bakery that are equally gross! Taste like they are made with the CHEAPEST ingredients--no extracts, cheap oils, no flavor, seem stale. I would not even throw these products to the wildlife to eat. Have visited bakery with no one asking to help me, no decor in the shop, displays have minimal product, and they are VERY EXPENSIVE. Very disappointed. Something went terribly wrong with the Cannoli filling! It appears to have been made with a large amount of granular sugar. Imagine Cannoli filling mixed with sand! We have come to expect better from a bakery. There are so many options available while shopping in the many new upgraded grocery stores, (they have really stepped up their bakery game).
