I generally like the food from this place, except their soups, which are horrible, and I've eaten here scores of times, but I've never seen any establishment fail so hard at what is basically the core of their business as this place.
They literally can't take your order. Two phone lines and one person, that's it. Couple that with the fact that they don't open early enough to start taking lunch orders and your lunch plans are often dashed by the inefficient ordering methodology and apparent ineptitude of the front of house staff.
Today for instance, we're an office full of people wanting lunch, you know, at lunchtime? We called at 11:30, no answer, 11:40 no answer, so I drive over there thinking perhaps they went out of business (which they will do soon if today is any indication). "We're not open yet" (it's ten to noon mind you) drive back to my office, call 10(ish) minutes later, no answer, call again, they put the phone down on the counter for 10 minutes, then hang up on me. We got something else. How can a business fail so hard at literally the thing they're in business to do?
Bottom line : good food, bad soups, nice eat-in, abysmal take out ordering. 2 and a half stars, I rounded up to three because...

From the moment you walk in you are greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The service is amazing and makes you feel cared for. The head waiter James is exceptional he is always friendly, attentive and genuinely kind. He goes above and beyond to ensure each guest has top tier experience.
Now the food… absolutely delicious and unreal. This is the best Asian food I’ve had in my life. The sushi and sashimi are incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. You can truly taste the quality. The General Tso chicken is my favorite. It’s crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, with a perfect balance of sweet, savory and spicy. It hits every craving perfectly.
This place is my go to spot. The portions are generous, the flavors are cold and satisfying, and every dish is crafted with care. The dining experience is perfect from...
Read moreAsian Wave was awesome. My mom brought me here, and this was her sixth time in. I fully understand why. The food is done well, presented well, and is affordable.
We came in for lunch. There are $8 lunches ($10 for a "box," which adds three chicken dumplings and a california roll); each piece is done so nicely--the main dish, the salad (a full side salad with great ginger dressing!), the rice, etc. There is also free green tea served in pretty tea cups.
We shared two lunches--the General Tso's and teriyaki salmon. Both wonderful. The General Tso's was one of the best I've ever had. Crunchy and fresh with great, pungent sauce. The salmon was cooked really well and served in this tangy sauce that felt rich. One of the lunches we did as a box, and so I got to try the sushi and dumplings. Both were done really well and portioned nicely.
The ambiance is funky--lots of mirrors and tiles--but you get into it. Even the bathroom is nice.
Would VERY happily come back here and...
