Simply amazing homemade ice cream with a huge flavor selection! We always get a crepe or waffle to eat at 1 of the outdoor tables & more ice cream to go! One time the crepe machine broke & the owner rushed over to see if he could fix it... which he couldn't & that is how we found out their waffles were the best waffles we've had in a VERY long time! So light & fluffy!!! Owner & staff are super nice. The place is always jumpin' & busy but never a long wait as these guys work their tails off! Speaking of tails - they now serve pup ice cream for your fur babies!!! You'll never be disappointed with this place & why we drive 20 - 25 mins, passing many ice cream shops from Mt. Kisco just for ice cream

I located in a small plaza, small but very popular ice cream stop. Great selection , natural flavors and known for their Italian ices . Ever since the pandemic they adapted to ensure that customers feel comfortable and remain safe by altering how they can order. I love being able to order through the new pickup window and appreciate the new signage. Not to mention they have great ice cream. Prices are within normal range , stop by and say hi to Emma

Usually a favorite, but so dissapointed in the size. We had two single scoops ($5.25 each) and two, 2 scoops (6.25 each)=$25. We brought one of each home for our girls, and weighed them. Confirming our feelings of....they have raised the price yet shrunk in size. Single scoop including cup and lid weighed less than 4oz, and the 2 scoop cup and lid was just 7oz. Delicious, but not worth it.

Workers are usually rude but this time it really annoyed me. Came 25 minutes before they closed because I’d just gotten off work, which I assumed was okay, but they’re always annoyed regardless. I asked for a flavor they usually had and she gave me something else. When I tasted and noticed it was the new variation of the flavor they offered I apologized for misreading the menu and asked for a different flavor and she said id have to pay for a new one. I had one bite and it tasted bad but I was trying to be nice about it. I said she could throw it out because I figured that was the stores policy, but she just grabbed it and tossed it. She then made me pay for a whole new ice cream after throwing out my old one. I’ve worked in food service for 8 years, I’m aware this is not how you...

The Other Curmudgeon says:

...we celebrated by stopping off at the Village Creamery in Valhalla for an ice cream cone. They make their own there, and it's worth every penny of the price. I had a scoop of chocolate chunk salted caramel and I think it showed massive self-control that I only had one scoop. I would go out on a limb and say it's the best ice cream in the United States, but the truth is it's only the most recent home-made ice cream I've had. Places like Baskin Robbins and Amy's and Stone Cold Creamery and, yes, even Ben & Jerry's are good -- very good -- but places that make their own, like the Village Creamery, are in the Honors Class of ice cream shops.

And of course there's the added charm of the whole Village experience as you suck down that...

Hands down, best ice cream in Westchester/Putnam Counties. All home made. Common favorites as well as innovative flavors. Friendly staff. Wonderful, community driven & supportive owners. Great flavors. My favorite is Coffee Kalua; it's so creamy and just the right amount of Kalua taste with bold, smooth coffee flavor. I will drive miles out of my way between family in Westchester to my home in Putnam, just to get a pint to take home and of course a scoop with hot fudge to sit at the tables on the side walk and enjoy. So dang, good! If you're an ice cream snob like me, you'll love it! Check them out. They also sell some old-fashioned candy in the inside shop and they make dessert Crepes....
