I’m updating my review for my most recent experience:
I've been coming here pretty much every month for the past year and it's always so good but this last time was really bad. ordered the ragin' Cajun, truffle fries, and my bf ordered the cheesesteak. My ragin' cajun looked nothing like the online photo. It was mostly lettuce and had so much sauce it was overwhelming/soggy. My bf couldn't get the garlic aioli on his cheesesteak because he's allergic to eggs so it was very dry. The fries were the worst part. I've ordered just the truffle fries plenty of times because they are my favorite in the area usually but these were nothing like what we usually get. They weren't cooked fully and quite soggy. This all comes after I called to order several times last week and couldn't get any answer. I know they can do better but very very disappointed lately.
Earlier review:
Yum this place was so good! We got the chicken parm full sandwich and the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich. Both came with chips and of course I got the truffle fries on the side. These truffle fries were some of my favorite in the area! The buttermilk chicken sandwich was really good also although a little messy/too much slaw on it. My bf really enjoyed the chicken parm sandwich as well. These were part of the November specials but I wish they’d make it to the normal menu. This meal was a little pricer than I would have expected. The girl at the counter was friendly, the food was ready in about 10-15 mins which was nice and quick. The inside is really small but they have a few bar seats inside and and a few seats outside. I wasn’t super interested with the main menu, but I’d definitely be back to see what other specials they have and to get those...
Read moreThe Sandwich Spot NY seems like a hidden gem. Located on a sleepy corner in Valhalla, it almost looks like a little shack that you could drive right by, if you didn't know where it was.
Walk inside though and you're greeted by a colorful deli with a beautiful display of cold salads. The menu is hand crafted and well thought out. I think it speaks to the region and what a local sandwich shop should aspire to be!
I choose to get the Gavone. A heavy breakfast sandwich served on a soft, yet crunchy baguetta stuffed with chopped pinwheel sausage, hashbrowns, egg, and burrata. The sandwich itself was built perfectly! Expertly made with even distribution of ingredients to be enjoyed fully in every bite. The only thing I would have changed was the seasoning. Everything tasted great but just fell a little flat. I also got a small black coffee which was delicious!
All in all I enjoyed my experience at The Sandwich Spot NY very much and will be returning. Looking over the menu I didn't see one thing on there that didn't interest me. Their specials looked amazing as well! I look forward to returning and eating my way...

I will NEVER go back here.
You shouldn't either.
I was a regular here but after today I will neve go back.
The staff was rude and disorganized, the girl working the register was condescending and unprofessional, the manager is clueless at to what was happening and what was going on which isn't managing a business, and apparently the owner Joe is "rarely ever there" which is probably a big reason why things have gotten so bad.
I went here to order lunch, like I have over a dozen times since they opened. They were exceptionally busy when I got there (literally a line out the door into the parking lot) I knew it would take a while but their food is worth the wait. What being busy does not excuse is the lack of simple common curtesy, professionalism, and bad attitudes. the 2 people working the register allowed 3 different people to cut the line 4 separate times, and that's not acceptable by any standard. Then when I stared asking for the owners information the girl got very rude and condescending.
I will NEVER go back here.
