Middletown Tavern — Restaurant in Town of Naples

Was looking forward to going back and trying it now with new ownership. We don’t frequent bars often but after our work day we thought stopping in would be a nice change and give us a chance to try things out and look at menu changes….all that would’ve been great IF WE HAD BEEN WAITED ON WHILE SITTING AT THE BAR! Nope! Finding a game on the TV right in front of us, cleaning off popcorn baskets from a couple empty seats, talking to regulars, and folding some silverware were all way more important than asking what we wanted to drink. But hey, at least she said hi after completely ignoring us for a couple minutes I guess. We finally walked out. There’s no reason at all why she couldn’t have said “hey guys, I’ll be with you in just a minute” or something….but I guess since we aren’t regulars it doesn’t matter much. The lack of response by ownership on previous poor reviews tells me that they possibly don’t care much either….especially since all the poor reviews carry almost the exact same theme.

NOTE: It was NOT busy at all. Maybe 7 people at the bar and 3-4 tables seated and already served. Nothing compared to how we’ve seen it before; to the point where I would say that this lack of service is inexcusable on every level. If the owners read this and want to look at camera footage so you know I’m not just saying something negative for the hell of it, here are the details for you. Thursday 09 Oct 2025 Some time between 8-8:20pm Far corner of the bar (black hoodie/ball cap and older gentleman in red/white flannel shirt).

Hopefully tourist season treats this place well because fall and winter may become pretty dry if service like this continues. As a local business owner in a customer service driven field, service like this really chaps my ass. If we ever go back and have a totally different experience I’ll be more than happy to...

We ordered 2 orders of wings to go. We watched many who ordered food well after us recieve their food. We asked about our food to be told we were the next ticket... We waited yet again as we watched more people who ordered after us get their food! Now after over an hour of waiting we asked yet again to find out that our order was just sitting at the bar. I questioned the bar tender about how l9ng they were sitting on the bar and she was rude! This is where she proceeded to hold her two fingers up telling me that crispy wings take 22 minutes flicking her two fingers up and down. I then asked if wings take only 22 minutes then why have I wanted over and hour and not told when they were ready.. This is where she yelled at me to get out! Really because I question why two orders of wing took over and hour I am yelled at to get out.. Really?? Sadly this was a spot we often used as a stop on our motorcycle runs... From here on out we will skip this place and will inform everyone I know and ride with to avoid the Middletown tavern...

Woah. We came because we wanted some wings. Was recommended by a local bartender from Engine 14 Brewery.

First off, the sweetheart bar tender was super accomodating. My bro asked the bar tender if he could sample the wing sauce. Without hesitation, she brought out a little to check out. It was good.

Plenty of beer choices.

We went with the killer wing sauce. Oh my goodness. It was hot as hell but also had a ton of flavor and didn't set your mouth on fire. The wings were crispy. They didn't drown the wings in sauce like some places.

My sister got cauliflower something and boneless wings.

Strongly thinking about making the 2 hour trek again to get these...
